Now your questioning Bedford in the matter? All coaches vote! Do you think that they never would have a reason to not go with a Bedford kid over another? How about Krupa beating Craig last year and being seeded under him? Did NBC cause that? This is just one time that it seems unfair. But Albright had a 1-2 record against the 2-3-4 seeds and didn't wrestle Gibbons which he would have surely lost. Like someone posted earlier. Albright had a better winning % because he didn't wrestle Gibbons or the Thomas tourney. He only beat Baer who was the 4th seed in OT. lost to everyone else.

Look you can argue that throwing all four names in a hat and drawing is not the best way. But Albright didn't do enough in the regular season to clearly earn a 2nd seed.
I have no idea how Bedford voted in the matter, however it is clear to me that Bedford/Somerset/NBC have a lot more interest in how seedings of competitors are done then Everett/Hyndman/Shade do.

2010 215 - iirc Krupa/Craig/Stanton each went 1-1 against each other, thus the 2/3/4 seeds were a tossup. I have no idea how NBC voted or how that decision was reached, for all that I know the voting could have been done on county lines, as Craig got the #2 seed, then Stanton got the #3 based on win over Krupa.

I agree that Albright didn't do enough to CLEARLY earn a #2 seed. I'd actually have no problem with him being 2/3/4. However it seems very clear to me that Bussard didn't do enough to earn a #2 seed but yet was thrown into the mix and is the root cause of the problem. Did 2 (or 3, if TM voted) schools really vote for him as a #2 seed? Based solely on his pin of Albright, in a match that he was losing?

Albright is definitely better than bussard! If albright lost to him, he was hurt or got caught in a pin move because i have seen them both wrestle and I honestly feel albright would win 8 out of ten times they wrestle.

Odoyle -

Obviously it bothers you that Bussard boy pinning Albright - it is a shame he is not wrestling so things could be finished with him winning over NBC - and your info must not be too correct because no one had problem with the 2 seed. It was 3 seed that was in question all along. It was luck of drawl but Bussard did wrestled with knee injury when Albright backed down to maintain winning record so please bring up another subject or drop it. Albright doesn't deserve higher seed , he just did not do enough over the season. Mute point since Bussard is not wrestling this weekend. You would not even be dishin' on the kid if the pull would have made NBC 3rd. GO GIBBONS! Has my vote for OW!!!!

Candid viewer, don't be so stupid.. Albright never backed down to keep his winning percentage. All your posts are pro Bedford, and that's ok, but dont say Albright backed down when you have no clue what you're talking about. Gibbons is the best wrestler at this weight class, there's no doubt about it and no one wants to meet him in the semi's, and for a returning district champ to be in the same side of the bracket sounds a little fishy to me.

What is the reason Bussard isn't wrestling? Didn't Brumbaugh come down to 171? I wouldn't be surprised if Brumbaugh beat out Bussard for the spot.

Candid viewer...how are you going to call out Albright, saying he backed out to keep his record intact? That is laughable. Tell me your body will be fine after rushing for 646384657 yard and then jumping right into wrestling.

I have no idea if the logjam occurred @ #2 or #3 slot.

I find it odd that Baer's 2 wins over Frampton wouldn't have come into play when determining the #2 seed.

This isn't an NBC only thing, I think that Baer & Frampton should both have been seeded over Bussard also. My intent wasn't to put Bussard down, but I just don't think his resume matches up with the other 3 wrestlers at all.

imo if healthy Bussard would have been a lot better going down to 160 again, fwiw.

Lots of football players go straight into wrestling with injury an no problem - Fishy though when Albrigt had to go against tough comp. then injury bothers him and never when weak comp. I do not think there would be such a outcry about Bussard being in drawl if NBC would have got what they wanted! seeding: It was all luck , no any certain team or person picking - they all had the same percentage to be in that seed - Nothing against anyone here but different attitudes on here if outcome favors their school. Oh well same old same old , nothing changes and Off to see some great wrestling!

Doesn't Albright have to have surgery on his knee after wrestling season?

Wow, if he does and is playing college football, I can't believe he is wrestling.

I cant believe you, candid viewer are starting your crap again, shut your mouth when you dont know what youre talking about. He went out of competition before the bedford match and was out until after the Thomas tournament because of torn miniscus in his knee, which WILL not get better until it is scoped after wrestling season, yes it needs surgery, and if you think he is shying away from tough competition, youve got another thing coming.....I think its my turn to tell you to crawl back in your hole and not come out this time.
