yea i doubt hyndman will ever host a playoff game either beside a home field advantage game b/c it doesnt have any lights . im not saying that scoring ur first goal in ayso is bad or anything b/c i scored my first in ayso. And i started playing soccer through ayso too but it doesnt take a rocket scientists working part time on the weekends as a brain surgeon to score a goal in ayso( thanks for the line) . i think ur thinking of the field right next to the high school. The one im talking about is by the softball field right next to the mountain. And everyone in hyndman is sorry b/c the grass isnt perfect for u. Hopefully theres no hard feelings between me and u b/c i dont want to get warned again and get banned for this site.

u can use my line, just make sure u give the ol gunner credit for it! but i am talking about the field u play ur high school games on, the one w/ the brick concession stand, ive been there quite a few times and ive never considered the field itself worthy of hosting playoff games, not including the fact of no lights. and hate to tell u, but a big field doesnt mean its a great field...good grass is one of the most important factors of a good field, a small field with perfectly manicured grass is better than a large field thats nothing but a dustbowl

When it comes to the fields in d5 i have seen all of them in the shl plus Rockwood , Berlin,North Star, and C.Twp.
I would have to say that picking one of those fields as being the best or playoff worthy is very difficult as they each have problems.
Hyndman the grass is patchy ,McCburg the crown in the middle and the drainage covers take away,Everett might be the best of the lot, Forbes has more grass than ever before but the field itself we wont even go there,C.Ridge the grass is even worse than Hyndmans, and NBC `s field is ok but not playoff worthy.
So in short all the fields have their faults.

i guess ur right soccer star, now that i come to think of it, hyndman does have one of the better fields in d5, but thats not saying alot. heres a breakdown from what i remember...windber's field has such a huge crown that sitting on the bench, its hard to see anything below the waist on the far side. ridge...speaks for itself...possibly the 2nd worst field ive ever played on. forbes road...most definetly the worst high school field ive played on, pine trees are just horrendous! mcburg...crown and drainage ditches just add to the hard semi-dirt field. fannet metal, havent been there since 8th grade, but i remember it being short and lumpy. conemaugh twp's baseball outfield is kinda small, grass is horrible and the corner by the infield is usually a swamp, the football field is usualy a mud pit by the time playoffs roll around, the bleachers are no where near being safe, and the gravel track is just like out at ridge. thankfully theyre gettin a new stadium tho, so it should be alot better next season. everett's football field isnt too bad considering it is a football field, its a good atmosphere there too. their field inside the track (not sure if they use it anymore) is a pasture, just terrible! nbc's new stadium is really nice, but they will only use it a few times, the rest of the games will b by the road, that field is right up there w/ ridge and forbes. nothin like runnin up hill on a narrow field. the scoreboards nice, unless its raining and it cant be used.
thats all i can remember for now, im sure theres others im forgetting.

The worst field i ever played on in the d5 was last year in the d5 championship at northstar . The northstar football team had just played a game there and they riped the field to pieces. And it was so muddy and there wasnt any grass at all on there field it was terrible.

thats the best part about d6...the title games for everything but AAA used to be played at mansion park on the rug, but are now played at johnstown's trojan stadium with field turf...great stuff!

if it gets put in i assume it will, i know we already host d5 and d6 playoff games and when mcburg and twp. played for the title about 2 years ago it was played in bedford, then again d5 is obsessed w/ the neutral field idea, so chances are it will b held at twp, ns, or berlin like always
