Getting back to how FEW players there are on the Penn state football team nowadays, guess there's a pretty good chance that PSU will be under 65 scholarship players THIS year. The only problem is, the 65 player limit doesn't kick in until 2014, and lasts thru 2017. Now, I hear BO'B is thinking about appealing to the NCAA to have THIS YEAR count as one of the 4 years with a 65 player limit, and then have the 2017 year dropped on the back end. Is he for real????? He's lucky that PSU is even playing football at all right now. He must think he's special in order to DEAL with the NCAA about his team's sanctions. What a shyster.

A suggestion for the Paternos.............

The Paternos loved publicity.

Joe and Sue always had the cameras rolling, handing the symbolic donation check to Spanier while adding on to the Library. They wanted the whole world to see their righteousness, their generosity, and their commitment to education. When Joe's "paltry salary" was finally revealed several years ago (after Paterno fought vehemently to have his salary kept private), one could hardly believe that Joe could donate millions to the library when he was among the lowest paid coaches in a BCS conference. Paterno's donations were yet another FRAUD, just like the Grand Experiment, and the university or PSU boosters and alums who had mafia-esque business dealings with Paterno just rolled money into library donations to make the PSU football cult icon and mafia don Joseph Vincent Paterno look good.

Despite their empty modesty, JVP and Sue clearly enjoyed the attention and publicity and the fattening of their egos.

SO I propose this:

If Paternos truly love Penn State, value education, and sincerely care about the victims, then why not donate $5-6M, maybe $7M from Paterno's absurd retirement deal, build and begin a crisis center on campus for victims of physical and sexual abuse???

Then, while they are at it, put up the funds to have the Lasch Building's locker room showers completely remodeled, the showers/locker rooms where the monster violated innocent children when others knew, including the Paterno's partiarch.

Remodeling the showers could never erase the horrors that occurred there, but it would be a symbol that PSU is starting anew..

I'm sure since he has a man crush on Joe Paterno, the family could get Lubrano to kick in a few million$ as well.

If the Paternos are so benevolent and righteous, why not show the world and make such a gesture?

Good idea Titan. One question, though....why are you "Proposing" this on a messageboard. Maybe you should write a letter or propose this somewhere that more than 15 people will read it.

A suggestion for Titan.........

Not a bad idea but those donating should include: McQueary, Shultz, Curley, Spanier, CYS, Central Mountain, State Police, PSU Police, The Second Mile, Corbett, AG's Office, etc. Again, Paterno wasn't the only one who could have done more. Although he was the only one with the guts to admit he could have and should have done more. Just goes to show that you know little about what went on up there and just want to focus on PSU and Paterno.

Everyone who bought his books and thought Paterno was an angel should make a donation, too.

Those that are ignorant enough to think Paterno deserves all the blame should make triple the donations!!!

So Moldo should make a donation since he bought the book?
