2009 i believe... the last time a LHAC school won the single A title. Since then we've seen 2 heritage wins and 2 bellwood wins.

Rules? Transferring for athletic reasons is against the rules. Are you telling me that the Bishops don't realize when a kid is transferring for sports? Are they naïve, or aiding and abetting? Especially when a kid transfers JUST for his senior year. If you ask me, that's breaking the rules.

If something was against the rules, wouldn't there be repercussions? To the best of my knowledge I don't recall any instance in which those three schools were reprimanded for breaking any rules.
Bishop McCort's last title was 2009
Bishop Carroll's 2010
Bishop Guilfoyle's 1991

That's your defense? That the PIAA or District 6 didn't have enough guts to investigate some of these transfers, so no guilt was placed on these schools? But irregardless of BM being tried and found guilty, didn't the braintrust at McCort need to do some soul-searching about bringing in some of these kids? Perhaps Fleming and Davich, who I hope are guys on the up and up, will have enough scruples to shy away from this type of thing at McCort. Lead by example. Be men and turn down kids who they KNOW are transferring for athletics.

That's not a defense, that's a fact. If wrong doing was done, isn't it the public school district's due diligence to challenge such a transfer? Maybe the public schools should do some soul searching as to why they would have kids willingly leave their school district.

You borrow your mother's car. She has a handicapped sticker on it. You stop at stores, and park in handicapped spots even though YOU are not handicapped. Did you break the law? McCort's coaches and administrators are doing the same type of thing when they accept kids who are coming to their school for athletic reasons. And I'm not even talking about recruiting. Parochial schools are supposed to be above reproach. They are to set examples for others, right? Setting POOR examples like these is ethically wrong, especially for a Christian school. So Crimson, where do you stand on moral issues. Is it OK to shoplift if you don't get caught? Can you drive 80 mph, if you don't get caught? Again, hopefully Fleming and Davich will see the light, and stop this practice.

Sure it's illegal to speed, shoplift, and park in a handicap spot, but it isn't illegal to have a kid attend your school? It isn't illegal to send your kid to an alternative to Public education.

First of all I know for a fact Bishop Guilfoyle does not let a senior transfer in any circumstance due to padding up a college resume and also this argument is being brought up because no one will admit BG has a better football team than everyone this year and no one can find a violation against them. Not just Christian schools should express moral character but everyone and hating on kids that have done no wrong is ridiculous.
It also makes me laugh when a catholic school wins the district and other teams in the district root against them when they are representing the district. Saying like they were the public school champion give me a break. Not sure about the other privates but my friends son goes to guilfoyle and almost every person not player person has family ties to the school. Bishop Carroll had a great basketball team and all those players came up through the system and not many people said much. Sometimes you got to tip your hat and say good game.

Give me a break Bishop Guilfoyle is one of the biggest if not the biggest rule breaker in the system. How many transfers are they getting in girls basketball? They all went to guilfoyle? You know the PIAA should throw the book at this school. If they turn a blind eye in girls basketball you know they will in other sports too! All this and play in single "A".
