The angle on the PCN broadcast looked like the ball crossed on the 2nd/3rd effort... Not sure when the whistle blew? The pass interference I thought was a good call. Funny a lot of people thought clairton caught the last pass of the game but was out of bounds. The replay clearly showed he dropped it. Congrats BG!

A buddy of mine who is a ref told me the same thing...he said they stopped the kids forward progress and the official blew the whistle and then after he killed the play the kid fell forward and crossed the goalline...possibly after the BG kids stopped their backwards push because the whistle blew....still like to view it for myself...

Can we not just be proud of a local team that just won a state title? BG is seriously talented. If you cant see that then you have no football knowledge whatsoever. They matched up well with clariton. Clariton made mistakes and so did BG. Clariton had a chance to win and BG held them. BG is the best single A team in the state. Period.
Clar-iton this, Clar-iton that. My sinuses have never been so clear! COME ON, people. Learn to spell.
Its my autocorrect on my phone. Haha. Im not changing it every time!

OK, since I no longer have to buy Clariton for my sinuses, I'll buy that explanation.

The thing is, at this level in the final four, all games can be decided by who makes less mistakes. Clairton made a ton with penalties and could of had at least 4-5 more holding penalties called. For those saying that "Clairton was better they just played bad", did you ever think that maybe BG was better than we thought and made Clairton look bad??? Just hate speculation after a game has already been decided, BG won by playing better football, plain and simple. Clairton didn't get screwed by the refs, the 2 point conv in question, the kid may have crossed after his forward progress was stopped twice so we don't know when the whistle was blown.

I don't care much for Clairton but I strongly believe that Clairton's best game against the way BG played yesterday would result in Clairton winning by 3 TDs. I also think BG played about as well as they can play yesterday. Clairton played terrible, lots of bad and stupid penalties they gave up. Holding so much and I saw them in the backfield almost before the ball was a snapped a couple times. I suppose the holding calls you could credit to BG being better and Clairton just trying to keep them away and holding them by mistake.
I still hold strong in saying Clairton lost this game. No kicking game, sloppy play, and penalties galore won't win you any game. With as much raw talent as Clairton has they should never lose in A ball. But most of the kids are young and this is probably good for them. They tasted defeat at the end of the year where it matters most and they'll be back next year and likely vastly improved. I look for them to develop a kicking game. Watch for them to play hard and go for two points until they have a 40+ lead then they should start trying for the extra point for practice. Hell even once they get up that high and you get a 4th and goal, go for the FG and it could save you come playoffs.
As I heard someone else say. Clairton complained about the refs being against them all year. They played 16 different teams I believe and 10 or so different ref crews. The common factor in all of that was Clairton committing penalties and being called for them. Be more disciplined and get better at your positions. I don't know if I've ever seen a team be penalized more than the Bears are.
2 point conversion looked good to me but once I think back to it.. it was really late in the play. It was his second or third effort so they could have blown a whistle for sure. You can't blame a loss on one play unless it was the last play in my opinion. They had chances all game to come out on top and they let it slip away.

This is funny coming from a guy at a school (I'm assuming Hornets is Juniata Valley) with three girls from out of the JV school district just transfer in to play basketball.... Pot calling the kettle black...hah.
I would have to disagree with your assumptions there and I think I've said this before that JV is not my team...... Growing up I followed a team from UNLV.....And one of the star players went to the NBA. There just happened to a basketball team that drafted him in charlotte.
