D III doesn't give scholarships but they do have College Funds given to athletes that in some cases can actually be more than a partial from D II. I know some D II kids getting $1000 to $1500.

Just having him on the field I would think is a lift for the team. It also makes the opponent prepare for him, even at 80% he's one of the best athletes on the field.
When St Vincent in latrobe stated football again a few years ago. A coworkers son was recruited as a lineman. Divide III does not give athletic scholarships. He recieved a very generous academic scholarship and a leadership scolarship. I don't remember the exact amount but it was very very generous. I guess they were impressed with his low C average.

So did he get in , any updates on the hot topic of the week? Doesn't sound like Irwin shared the load.

He got several plays on defense.  His skills were neither showcased nor tested. 
Irwin's just a punishing runner.

Chadbourn with an interception. Has a pick, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and a touchdown run. Not bad for a "decoy"...
