I don't see how you can say Pitt has done nothing all year. I think 29 wins is pretty impressive. Also, they played UCONN 3 times. So you don't know as much as you thought. They even beat them one of the times. They are definitely battle tested now. I agree that they weren't at the beginning of the year. But the Big East is taking 6 teams to the tournament, and they all have a shot to win one game. They are definitely battle tested.

sports999, u must never have watched uconn. ben gordon is a bomber like u said. the huskies also have 3 other threats from outside that are better shooters than anybody on the pitt team. rashard anderson, denham brown, and charlie villenueva all have at one time this year given the huskies the second or third threat from behind the 3 pt line. im not saying that uconn is the best perimeter team out there, they just are better than u imply.
also there is no way that blake stepp is a better player than ben gordon was in the big east tournament. if julius page can hold ben gordon to 23 pts, i think he could hold blake stepp to about 15. the player that gonzaga has that makes them a threat is ronnie turiaf not blake stepp.
no body is debating how many games pitt has won. they have had very successful regular seasons the past couple years. what most people are saying is that the furthest pitt has gone in the tournament in the past is the sweet 16 and they dont see them getting any farther this year. what pitt lacks in offense, they make up for in defense which is fine. its just that they are gonna need to score to beat ok st. pitt can hold teams close but i dont think they have the player at the end of games to make the winning shot need at one point before getting to the final four. pitt will lose to either wisconsin or ok st. not because pitt is a bad team but because wisconsin and ok st. are tough opponents.

I agree with you Austin. UConn is tough. They will make the Elite 8 pretty easily, and I think they can probably take Stanford. Also, I agree with you on Pitt losing to Oklahoma State. Oklahoma State was very impressive in their conference tournament and should go a long ways.

my bad about the third meaningless game between pitt and uconn, i forgot about that boring tournament. my point is that pitt has played no one like other top notch programs have. about 6 teams being in the tournament....so what. valpo made the dance for goodness sakes, and duke beat them by like 35. yes i know that 35 isnt the exact total, so one of you can save yourselves the time of looking it up in hopes of dicrediting my point of view. you dont have to agree or like what i have to say, but the fact remains that pitt is horribly overrated and will go no further than the sweet 16

I believe Duke was the founder of the solid man-to-man defense. What do you think the D in Duke stands for.kohlslaw5 wrote: Pitt can hang with anyone, because they are one of the few teams that actually believes in the lost art of playing a solid man-to-man defense.
Lets face the music Pitt fans, they suck and will not make it past this upcoming sunday.

I am not sure, what does the D stand for ham?
I wouldnt go as far to say that pitt sucks, I would say their offense is at times lacking. I think they can make it as far as the nat'l championship; however, i have them losing to Oklahoma St. in the sweet 16.

I think I am the only one being real here. Pitt will not make the sweet sixteen let alone the national championship. Call me crazy but ill be the one laughing when they make and early exit because of the badgers.

Ham I perdicted a long time ago that Pitt wouldn't make it to the Sweet 16.
