I wasn't comparing anything to Duke or UNC...
I'm saying they were getting good kids already. He should have an even easier time getting studs now that he is in a bigger conference. Louisville has been getting big time guys and they should be even bigger now...

could the factor of joining a team with already proven stars and a league with fierce compeition be deciding for those who want to stand out on their own?

the big east championship tourney is played at msg, the most well-known sports arena in the world. it makes for a pretty good place for guys to make a name for themselves. the big east is on tv all the time as well. espn big monday's first game is always a big east game. conference usa is on tv somtimes if louisville or cincinatti is playing somebody good. a lot of high school kids want to play on the big stage and the big east is just that. im not trying to take anything away from the acc b/c it also is a big stage. im just saying that these teams will have better chances of bringing in the best players because they can offer more exposure.
i dont think these teams will win the big east title in the next cpl years or anything like that, but they wil surely be tougher opponents for the rest of the big easts rather than va. tech, miami, and BC.

msg is a huge stage for guys to showcase their talent. the united states is always compared to the roman empire. w/ this comparison in mind, nyc is the equivalent to rome while msg is the basketball equivalent to the colosseum. "The beating heart of Rome is not the marble of the Senate. It is the sand of the Colosseum."
where does conference usa hold their conference tourney???
my point is that high school star basketball players usually want to perform on the biggest stage possible. louisville and the other schools joining the big east can now at this to the list of reasons that the big name guys should go to their schools. they couldn't stake such a claim when they were in conference usa.
