I'll add "Eight Men Out," about the Black Sox Scandal, and "Pride of the Yankees," about Lou Gehrig.

"A River Runs Through It"

I know it's about a blood sport -- fishing -- but that counts too. I love this movie. The last scene always makes me tear up. Brad Pitt's best performance!

A terrific book, by the way too.!

The "Rocky" movies have to be the best sports movies that I've seen in my time.

I agree with south paw on "The Natural", also with crliondawg with 61. Can't imagine the pressure on Maris. I movie I always watch on tv when its on is "Something for Joey" the John Capaletti Story...Very moving...

I'd like to add "cheaper by the dozen" to my list,not really a sports movie,but Steve Martin shows he's still got it,and the kids that soaked the shorts in raw meat remind me of mine....pure evil.ha,ha

Miracle...comes out to rent on Tuesday, unless you go to the small store by my house that doesn't know any better and puts movies out 4 days before they are supposed to be!!!
