I wonder if child molestation will go down if they allow marriage? What a novel concept.

Yes, Coveman, being the same age as me definitely puts you in the position of calling me a child. I'm not sitting and sulking, I'm not Catholic and don't want to be. You have completely missed my argument. Maybe you go back to The University of Nazi Germany, which is apparently located somewhere down in District 5 where most of you are from, and they can teach you how to comprehend. I spelled it out about 3 times.

Gotta love El-Moldo's argument. You can't win, so why fight? Hey, why stand up for yourself? Why not just let them push you all the way into the ocean? I mean, it's their land anyway, right? That's what your Manifest says. And the Civil War comparison doesn't fit. The South, however doomed from the start, still fought the war with everything they had. They didn't take it on the chin. Whether or not you agree with the Confederate doctrine, they threw everything into the war. Nice try, though.

Ok - I'll surprise a lot of you with this one.....

I too do not see the problem with allowing priests to marry. I had a long discussion with a former priest about this as I was going through the conversion process, and in some ways, he too was struggling with why it is not allowed.

That is one of the few things that I disagree with the church on.

Catholics not allowing priests to marry is not really based in scripture. Although Jesus was not married and the disciples who were married obviously left their spouse to follow Him.

As I understand it, priests were allowed to marry until the 12th century. There was a problem with priests leaving church land to their wives and children. This caused a problem within the church, so one solution was to forbid the priests to marry. I'm sure that is a simplified view, but it's what I recall of the situation.

I believe someone said that the South kept fighting in hopes that some countries in Europe, especially France would recognize the South and come to their aid. So, you see, the South always had some kind of hope of winning. Who was gonna help the Indians? No one!!! The elder chiefs knew it and decided to avoid annialation by not fighting. Smart thinking too. Without this, there might not be any Indians left today. They actually saved their race!!!
