im a fan of the "hide and seek" approach...its where u open ur book or notes and then put ur elbows beside on either side of ur work kinda curl ur hands and place ur forehead on the edge of ur hands...this shields ur eyes from the teacher, makes it look like ur thinking really hard, and allows for quite nice snoozing. to get really advanced, try adding a pen to writing hand, holding it the way u would to write...takes a lil trickery to keep it there once ur out, but very effective

Hmm.. I was just going to post something about Eric until I saw theoneandonly's post. But yeah soccer was the only sport Eric ever focused on and now he's playing D1.. It can't get much better than that. I can see some boys from Bedford like Timmy Miller or Pete Bridges going to play soccer for a D1 school if they keep up their good work.

for tim and pete to make D1, they need to work on their leadership, on and off the field...captains are supposed to set the examples for the rest of the team to follow, and while they didnt get busted for drinking or arrested like previous years captains, they showed alot of immaturity at the wrong times. a little power abuse also came into play this season, but for being junior captains i think they did pretty good, and next year should be a big stepping stone in their career, its just a shame they dont have a solid sweeper back there to support them

Personally I don't think either Tim or Pete has what it takes to play at the D1 level. First of all they are both pretty small and as the level of play progresses so does the amount of physical contact. I play D3 soccer and it's deffinatley alot more physical then high school ever was. Secondly, Pete would get murdered, either by the opposing team or his own playing like the does now. If he holds on to the ball as long as he does now he won't make it out of the first half of a game. The thing that I love about Timmy is how hard he plays the full 80 mins, that kid just gives it all he has all the time. But realistically these two can play at the D3 level but easily make a team at D2 just not see much PT.

I think it is a good idea for ppl to soccer as a sport to start the school year beacause soccer is a sport in which you could get your legs in very very top condition for either basketball or wrestling .

Soccer is also a sport in which you can lose a leg for another sport. Tear an ACL and it'll screw you over for another sport. I've been lucky that the worst injury I've received in soccer has been a sprained ankle (but shhhhhh...keep that on the DL...I never told anyone I was hurt and played anyway lol), so it never hurt me for track. Now other people that I know have been totally screwed over because of that. I can't blame people for sticking to one sport if its really the one they want to do and not risk injury.

i know for a fact that soccer can screw you over, ive spent the past 2 winters on crutches or and last spring in a walking cast as a result of soccer. but if u can avoid injuries, then i would say it is definetly a good warmup for basketball, not wrestling tho, basketball requires more endurance than strength so soccer will get u better prepared for that than football would, but for wrestling, football would be the best "warmup"
