jd: Just wondering. As a McCort alumnus, how many millions of dollars in scholarships did you get?

I don't try to argue much on here anymore because its a lost cause, but I don't really see the issue if someone is concerned with their team or not. I've been a fan of McCort football since I was old enough to go to games, and I always will be. I follow them still thoroughly. I know how the team is doing and such on here, in the paper, and on the news, but I made it to the first two games this year and haven't been to a game since. I spend my Fridays out with my friends. But it doesn't take much to read here, or twitter, or the paper to know whats going on. Its not a big issue to me. If you understand the current college culture, much of it is on the internet, whether it be through Facebook or Twitter or wherever. To say Jack is more concerned with HS Football is not my place to say, but being on the internet is pretty normal for most people our age. If he spends his time on here or Facebook, or wherever its pretty normal for anyone.
All I'm trying to say is, he's a good fan and loves his team. I won't say if he takes it too far or not. I guess thats for you to decide. I'm a college football fan personally, Don't care too much for the NFL outside of the Steelers, and I think HS Football around here is pretty compelling and interesting. I don't revolve my Fridays around it, but I don't think its an issue for anyone around here to be interested and give their two cents about what happening. Thats my take on it. Maybe I'm wrong.

jd - You may not be aware, but if the coaching staff and/or administration at BM are in agreement with you, there is nothing stopping them from playing up (to AA in this case). I believe Aliquippa has done it for years. Their current male enrollment number is 148, and the Class A cut-off is 184. Since it sounds like you are an alum, maybe you can talk them into it. I, for one, would be willing to buy you a case of your favorite beverage if you get it done (since it could certainly benefit my favorite team)!

If it were up to me we'd still be AA. Now as for the number I threw out there, I have no idea what enrollment numbers are. My graduating class graduated 98 kids in 2010, which was the first time a graduating class at McCort was under 100 in awhile. I just threw 420 out there because I figure each class there right now is somewhere in the 90-110 range. But heck for all I know enrollment might be under 400, and it is very very possible that it is.

Just making a play to eliminate a perennial powerhouse from the playoff field!
I got to see the BM vs B-A game, and I do have to say that BM looked to me like we (PM) could have played with them this year, unlike 2 years ago when we got our butts handed to us (sounds like you were a party to it, congrats) at the Point.

Actually in 2009 I got hurt that week in practice and did not dress that night, that was the only game or practice I missed in my entire life, and McCort was hit hard by the injury bug this year. But even a full strength McCort would have their hands full with PM, in what would be a close game that easily could go either way. Ferens is one heck of a player. His freshman year he had some big plays against our starting defense, anyone with half a brain knew then he was gonna be a stud.

We have been very blessed in Cometland during the 34 games (so far) of the Danny Ferens era. He seems to be the kind that makes everyone around him better, and he'll be the first one to tell you his team wouldn't have made it this far without the other 10 guys. Saturday night was truly a team effort. Guys making plays on both sides of the ball (Danny right at the top of the list). Some of our other players have improved so much over the past 14 weeks, it's a little hard to believe. The senior leadership has been outstanding, the juniors are led by Danny and Kasey Jewart, who both came up as freshman and have been starting from day one, and the sophomores have just been way better as a group than anyone expected.
