One thing Coach Franco knows how to do like NO OTHER...beat the WPIAL. Third trip to Hershey is pretty remarkable.
Somebody brought up in another thread if anyone would offer Franco a job. You know, places like Tyrone are special. Coach Franco realizes this, and obviously wants to stay put. You can't build a program like Tyrone at just any school. It takes the right community, the right type of kids, right type of school support, and of course the right coach.
Hats off to all the above mentioned ingredients that makes Tyrone what it is.
The Golden Eagles will be in Hershey to win it.

Did anyone hear about the school in Mass. that lost their state championship game because of an unsportsmanlike penalty when their player was running for the winning score because he put his hand in the air.
Here is a link to the play.
Just comparing it to the Quips player that appears to do the same thing at the 1:37 mark in the highlight. Is there a similar taunting rule for the PIAA?

Yes there is, and unfortunately its a dumb judgement call if you asked me. I say let the kids be kids.

Aliquippa had FIVE TURNOVERS...FIVE...and lost by a single point. I would have guessed they would have lost by 3 TDs with 5 TOs.

I just watched the you tube highlights from this game. I sort of ragged on the Quips radio announcers yesterday about something they said and I am going to have to do it again. The one was " certain" that the punt returner was down when he fumbled the ball at the end of the game. Holy smokes just watched the video and he was standing the whole time when he lost control of the ball. This guy went on and on about him being having a knee down when he lost control of the ball. I mean come on not even close to having a knee down.

Here comes WPIAL Titan with the excuses of how a WPIAL school could possibly lose to a lowly team from the horrible district 6.

Awesome. Just wish it was without the 2pt controversy. Will have to hear all the negative
nellies complain.
Here is a pic where you can clearly see that the 2 point conversion try was short, the ball is down at the 1 yard line!

So…you're giving props to Tyrone for forcing 5 Turnovers right?
