The score was 5-1. Also, I don't think there was any blood time for once.

Ya know, after watching version #6 or so of that match up, I may have to reconsider in saying that they aren't exciting matches. Sure they are low scoring with not a lot of offense, but they always have you on the edge of your seat. The battle with those two is always on their feet. One will take some god-awful shot and the other will start to counter. Well then, the other counters the counter and they get into some situation where one little cm move in one direction or the other will get a takedown for one of them. As an appreciating spectator, it has your whole body tensed up and your hands clenching your seat.

On a separate note, I thought this was the best that I have seen Jake wrestle in a while. It was the most improvement that I have seen him make in a year and a half or so. Granted, I haven't seen him wrestle since tri-counties. But his offense is beginning to improve. Keep up the good work Jake, and remember: don't shoot from too far out and forget the spladle(sp?), hips in and wizzar.

One last note: as I suspected Jan made some great coaching moves to get the win for the Panthers. Moving Brown up (weighed in at 160 right?) to wrestle Lamens rather than Nave and allowing Musselman to take the forfeit at 125 and having Mellot wrestle Felton. Also, having Pannebaker wrestle Grube. However, I thought the Warriors looked great and did everything possible to give themselves a chance. Keeping it maj's from 130-140 were all improvements from what I have seen.

Friday night wrestling in the NBC gym sure was exciting...i wasn't sure what Everett was like this year...i was about half suprised we pulled this one off...but we sure did show a lot of heart Friday...Good Job Guys!

...i think the 'emotionless' brambley cracked a smile after his win against kilgore....it was a good match to watch, good luck to both guys at districts

I think you're right bump and I think the win will provide him with the confidence he needs going into districts. The Kilgore Curse is something he couldn't shake for a while now. I think the win is a good morale booster.
