At this point it's on to the next game, and look no further because 90% of the teams are solid and belong in the PIAA tourney. the other 10% who don't belong will get blown out by 30-40 in the 1st round anyway.

Northern Bedford beat C Twp by 10ish in Dec and well we all know the last time the played. C Twp must doing something right hopefully they win a game or two more
Why?

Knowing that Township beat Whouse, I have to believe that Township should handle Brentwood just fine. Berntwood certainly does not play like Whouse.

Brentwood got two favorable draws in the prelims and 1st round in California and Shady Side Academy, both who play in very weak AA sections. Those two wins got them into the quarters where they were blown out of the gym 66-36 in a game that might has well have been 100-36. They have no business being in the PIAA playoffs, but the WPIAL, in its infinite wisdom with Follow The Winner, allows teams like Brentwood to advance to the state tournemant. Had the WPIAL played consys, their would have been very little chance Brentwood would be playing in the PIAA playoffs.

thanks for the info, the good thing is they come here to play as my son and last years team had to travel to pitt to play beaver falls.

Ct is well coached and have scrappy small kids that hustle their butt off. They are playing their best ball at the right time and that is what you want at the end of the season. I like boyer myself as he is a good team leader and can score from anywhere. The other guys get layups and I hope they can hit from the outside. Maybe I saw a bad game when I saw them and shade play. Shade did play lights out that night though. I would like to see that game again. It may be a different outcome the way ct is playing. Shade is on a roll also though. Two nice teams from the area. You gotta love it. go d-5. Shanksville is no slouch either. They will knock you off if you take them lightly if they can stay in the game plan they run. Shade went up on them twice and they kinda forgot what the coach taught them and tried playing shades game. Good luck to all area teams. I think ct beats northern cambria if they play. jmo.

ct had played like 6 games in 9 days playing makeup games and reg season and i could see they were flat out tired, shade beat them in their own game but still managed to cut it to 5 with a few min left. i too would love to see that game with a weeks rest for both teams.

How superior is northern cambria they lost to blacklick! McCort is going to get dumped off by West Middlesex by 20 if not more.

Not quite to Pittsburgh. Greensburg, Hempfield high school. And Hempfield is 15 minutes and more than 20 miles closer to Conemaugh Twp. than to Beaver Falls.

CT should be able to play with anyone. They have great guard play and decent height, most are at least 6'1. They just can't get in a track meet against these big, quick, physical teams. They need to do what SF and TM did in 2010. They beat 2 district 7 teams in first round(SF vs Serra catholic, TM vs Cornell) and SF lost to Lincoln park by 9 and TM lost in elite 8 to sewickley academy(state champs) by close to 30 but I believe it was tied going into 4th before wheels fell off. Both teams would spread the floor and run a lot of clock off before scoring which means two things, you're going to win or have a chance to win at the end of the game and you have to be happy with those 2 options. I just hope CT can make some noise!!

didnt mean downtown pitt. hemp was chosen because of the size i believe with jeanette, gcc, beaver falls all playing, although it may have been a trip for bf it was also a good hour drive for us to get there. if ct wins i think the next game will probably be back at hempfield again.

I really hope we get to see NC vs CT, that means both beat d7. At that point, I am not rooting for either, just happy our area has multiple teams in. I just think NC is a little better, but hey that could be D6 bias on my part. I do think McCort will be able to compete with West Middlesex, but not beat them. Just as I think NC and CT could compete with McCort but not beat them.

Anyway it would be nice to see PC, NC, McCort, and CT all in the final 16. I hope we get to witness it.

I could definitely see Conemaugh going on a little run, Brentwood will not have played for over 2 weeks when they take the floor Saturday night. They did make CT play in the play-in but they also gave them the weakest(by far) quadrant. They should handle Brentwood. I dont know much about North Cambria, but I wasnt impressed by Apollo-Ridge at all, they did beat some very good opponents(#12 Neshannock, #5 Sto-Rox, #4 Jeannette) though. Brentwood gave Beaver Falls a tougher game than Apollo. Brentwood was able to hang with BF for the 1st quarter and then got ran and pressed out the gym, but that is more than the other 3 teams that played BF can say. Pilarski is Brentwood's best player, he had 21 of their first 30 points before the Brentwood coach cleared his bench in the 4th quarter against BF.

The D-6 champ oddly enough, has the lowest chance of advancing in my opinion. They get a 2 loss and likely very angry GCC team, but GCC will not have played for 2 weeks also. McCort, NC, and CT all have a very good chance of winning their next game in my opinion.
