Penns Manor at Northern Cambria

PM had arguably the best team in the conference on the ropes for a half of football, but let a few bad plays turn into a snowball effect. Typical things you see from a young team. Look for them to rebound nicely this week. NC had a great game defensively last week but if they want to continue to win big games, they'll need to get more production on the offensive side of the ball.

United moved the ball well last week, they just couldn't finish. Hopefully they continue to improve this week.

HC will continue to roll this week. Saltsburg is going to have to find some run D if they want to keep up with the top of the Heritage.

LV is desperate for a win this week. I don't want to say it's a must win in week 2, but honestly it is a must win for Ligonier. A loss this week would not only most likely end their chance at the Heritage, but it could put them in a hole too deep to get out of for a district 6 aa playoff spot, with HC, Blairsville, PM, and Central all still on their schedule. PL had a big game last week but if they start looking ahead to Blairsville next week, LV could jump on them early.

MC is coming off a 35-7 win last week over United and should have some confidence coming into the game. MC is always a scrappy team that plays hard and maybe this is the year they start to put things back together? If Blairsville doesn't get a couple scores on them quick, it could end up closer than many people would expect.

Why does everyone comment on how young PM is but not how young NC is? Does no one realize that NC is also starting like 6 or 7 underclassmen on both sides of the ball? NC was almost all Seniors last year, too. PM and NC have about the same amount of experience.

I have said NC is young in other posts. I was just stating that a possible reason for them letting bad plays snowball could be because their youth and lack of confidence, not just to say they were young. I had no reason to mention NC's youth in that post.

I thought their one TE was a senior but I'm not sure. Those are the only starting seniors I know of. The Franks kid I believe is a senior and he played a lot but I'm not sure if he actually starts or just rotates.
