But the mental stability of someone like WPIALTitan doesn't concern you?

I really sense worry from the few true Pitt faithful that are actually out there. If they haven't been able to get things pointed in the right direction during a time when Penn State was on the worst sanctions in college football history, Michigan is suffering through their worst 5 year stretch in program history, and they have been blessed with an opportunity to play football in a big boy conference. Instead it seems like they have fallen even deeper into a Pitt of mediocracy (get the pun). Even through all this, they are transitioning to yet another coach and recruiting with the MAC "powerhouses" of the college football landscape.

I really want to see Pitt succeed. I do! I want to see them pull recruits away from Ohio State and Michigan. I want to see them relevant and PA be considered a dominate state in college football. I just don't see it happening any time soon.

Penn State is recovering. They survived something no Pitt fan gave them a chance to and they are really starting to worry.

Very true. Narduzzi has spent his entire time at Pitt trying to secure local kids with catch phrases and practically begging kids to stay and play for their hometown team(even though most fans in the burgh do not care about Pitt) The recruiting outside of Pittsburgh has really been neglected. It seems like they have very little interest outside of Western Pa. I think Franklin is in his head with this dominate the state thing. Meanwhile, Franklin has a top 15 class on the way again with many big names out there left. If Narduzzi does not land the local kids this year, Pitt is in big trouble.

I'm amazed that Pitt fans are getting so butt hurt right now. Especially the "professional" crimson ghost. It seems like mr. Mod doesn't like it when facts don't go his way. Not saying psu is great or should be great but come on. When you give him any facts about the mediocrity of Pitt athletics now he just gets mad and stupid. Just like Jim believing Pitt was a sweet 16 contender last year in basketball.... honestly they'll be lucky to make a sweet 16 in the next 4 years with their poor recruiting and coaching. They are getting closer and closer to psu level in bball, which is quite horrible

I find it down right bizarre.

Like those weird creeps that tweet underage boys and tell them Pitt sucks and they'll never amount to anything with Twitter handles like "Pitt Critic" "PittmyPants" "PittRealist" it's down right concerning that we live among people like that.
It's very odd, but I'd be willing to bet there are just as many Pitt weirdos on twitter, but I will say those are some funny names. I think many locals care, because it's fun to make fun of Pitt fans, because we live among them. I'd say the majority of Penn State fans could not care less about Pitt. If you want to talk about obsession, just log onto Pantherlair. That board talks more about Penn State than Pitt. I haven't visited lately, but during the season it is highly entertaining.

I wish I could call BWI entertaining, but I generally don't concern myself with a team I don't root for at all. I did catch one comment from the PSU rivals site last year in which a Penn State fan called Jerry Sandusky victims "thugs". So that says a lot about the content over there.

I wouldn't find bwi entertaining, if I were you since it's mostly about Penn State. I find pantherlair entertaining because 75% of the discussion is Penn State related

The last couple pages have gone away from the original topic. Time to shut this 1 down and start another Pitt vs PSU thread.
