According to my records that would have been 1992. Would have been Forest Hills and Mt Union as the selection. Tyrone was AAA at the time.

Blairsville with Sam Iezzi was a pretty good team in the 90's

I look at the situation at BC it's so much more then a new coach.  It really doesn't matter.
Penn Cambria this was suppose to be a playoff year.  They had so many seniors returning.  Next year the senior class is 3 strong so it would be a good year to get a new head coach.
CC program has just went down hill, I never thought this program could be so bad.  To win by only 3 against BC is embarrassing.  You could probably seen this coming 3yrs ago when you had a 1000yd passer&rusher plus 1000yd receiver solid line and you don't make the playoffs. Last year was a mess changing offenses and qbs.  This year it was over before it started the kids have given up.  Time for a change
kmr - I played on that United team. We were ranked in the state top 10 and didn't make the district playoffs because that year, they only advanced 2 teams (I think Forest Hills and Tyrone). That was a real bummer! We lost to LV in game 1 and won all the rest of our games, including the Appalachian Bowl against LV! Yeah, we had a big line, but not as big as BG. We averaged 250 lb tackle to tackle.
What year would this have been?   Did the Heritage(old Appalachian NORTH) play itself for the Appalachian Bowl or did they play the south?   I thought LV and United were both in the north.  Tyrone was not what we know them as in the late 80's or early 90's, so unlikely it was them.
Didn't forest hills play United at CC in a playoff game while Troy Mack was there?
We played Forest Hills in '91 in a playoff game. Yep, Mack was there both years -91 and 92. '92 was the year we beat LV in the Appalachian Bowl. And TAHS92Alum has it right - I believe it was Mt Union, not Tyrone that was ahead of us in the district standings in '92.

That would have had to been Brandon's junior year?
