For years they take their best athlete, not even speaking of pryor, and get him accurate enough on passes. Demetrious cox (NFL camp)/ Julian Batts (D1 point guard LIU) and now Kennedy. They seem to run around creep up to the line or wildcat and then after getting gashed once or twice other teams DB's start watching the backfield then "high level athlete" creeps up but steps back and throws a rainbow over your head. Only teams with equal outside skill athletes (over the years, quippa & Clairton) can defend against that with any regularity. Probably why HC had trouble vs. speedier LV. That said HC you took out 2 teams I did not think you would take out. Class A was Very fun this year. CONGRATS!!
You are correct but Jeannette has always had a lot of great athletes on their good teams. I'm good friends with several former coaches(not head) and they tell me how blessed they have been with athletes. From Barnes, Mucci, Tragesser, Murphy, Reitz and now Hall, they and their assistants have done a great job of coaching these athletes, both on and off the field, not necessarily in that order.
But congratulations to HC for their great year.

Baller21 wrote:Why can’t it be congrats to both Ligonier and homer Center. Both won district 6 titles both had great seasons. It’s petty to try to discredit either team. Why not talk up heritage Conference for having a 2 teams make it to elite 8 or farther in state.

I agree Baller21. Actually two great years for both teams. In the last two years, Homer Center played to the state Q-finals and to the state finals. LV played to the state Semis, and the state Q-finals. LV had two losses - by a combined 7 points. Homer (an A team) lost to LV twice (which is a very good AA team) and to two state champs. Between the two teams, we got 3 D 6 championships for the Heritage Conference. I think the Heritage only had two from 2000 - when it was founded - until before last year (PM in 2011 and Homer in 2013)?

1. Beat Homer Center badly
2. lost to final four team in a tight game without out top three players
3. about to announce second player in two years going to Power 5 school.
4. will be back in D6 AA title game next year.

what excuse ? top 3 offensive players went out against Dunmore, not an excuse, it is the truth, how many teams would HC have beat without Lee and Massa?
