Two questions, why isn't Berlin in the West Pac play-offs and why is the LHAC still using CC (I know the answer, just my annual gripe)?
Berlin dropped out to have an independent schedule.

1st question: IDK. 2nd question: Politics and $$. I feel your pain every year.

They're willing to host, centrally located at the 22 and 219 intersection, and it's a decent sized gym. Same reason they get a bunch of state playoff games too.
Richland is a nicer gym/would be a better host.

So, are they planning to play in the ICC next year? Seems a little extreme. Yes they would have dominated the WPAC, but that's ok. They still could have played a bunch of tough non-conf games. Is the coach trying to showcase his stars? Isn't that what travel ball is for?

I don't know if it is okay if you're trying to be competitive in state playoffs. You have to be prepared to play the Imani Christian/Kennedy types with a clear advantage. Toughest schedule you can handle certainly helps that. They've always had great non-conference games, this year allowed for more. It's a very special group and the right move for this year since able to do so before next year. Beating schools by 50-60 vs having competitive games. I like it for this year for sure.

Yes, it definitely would. And it's not like it's isolated on a mountaintop in the middle of nowhere.

I get it, the goal is a state championship. But wouldn't winning the last West Pac title be cool too? Especially of they don't win states? They played a lot of WP teams anyway.
The Heritage played their championship at IUP. Can the LHAC not afford to play at the Mount or St. Francis?

Meh, I don't think it would've been worth playing that full schedule.
