Best football facilities around the area

My eyes fail me more and more as I get older, but did I miss it? I didn't see Shaler anywhere on that list. Oh, they can't afford those perks after paying your salary, right? LMAO

Top 25 highschools in America was recently published in Sports Illustrated. Based on College recruits, college players, pro players, state titles.

Not one team from PA, and yes, that includes the mighty WPIAL. I guess nice stuff doesn't get you state titles, or pro athletes.



...then again, I think for all these schools to dominate like they do in everything, they are in terrible sports states where one or two teams can beat up on everybody all the time, where in PA, the playing field is more level and creates the opportunity for more teams to succeed at the state level...

No, Shaler's football facility is average...BUT, their baseball and soccer facilities are some of the best on campus facilities of any high school in western PA. The baseball field is a gem.

Many WPIAL and PIAA playoffs have been played there, including western finals.

After they dig down to the old Mine 40 shafts running underneath, no just kidding. But the new surface is supposed to be ready for some passing camp later in the summer.

ham, cali has some incredible sports programs, granted they dont have state football playoffs..but long beach poly is by no means number 1 simply because they dont play anyone good!

I wasn't saying that they did gunner, All I'm saying is that MOST of those states can dominate all sports for a long time. And that to me, spell's not much in the other schools across the state. What school in PA dominates all sports like that every year for decades at a time? None, and the reason is not because they have German genetic engineers creating the perfect humans for these schools, it's because the A) Recruit B) Have a weak state to play sports in C) all of the above...

For football anyway, Pa ranks in the top ten for d-1 recruits but barely top 5. They go 1. Fla. 2. Ca. 3. Tex 4. Ga 5. PA, ....and Ohio, NJ, and New York aren't far from overtaking PA. The last time I saw a breakdown of the state by state recruits, there was a huge gap after the top 3.

California is as big as the East coast from Florida to freaking New York. I would surely hope they would have the most D-I recruits out of all the states.
