i thought the race was put together well and they couldn't have made too much money off of the event because they gave us so much stuff
especially the food and those fruit juice pops were really good
lol

bannister i do appologize for putting you down that post was leaning more towards cool runnings and your right i don't know who you are
it just seemed like you 2 were teaming up against me (and other people) when you didn't even know me, nor what kind of runner i am
i am in college which is awesome to run at that next level

i have improved alot since high school though
running 17:00 min for the first 5k in a 5 mile race is pretty good for a freshmen in college, at least for some one who only ran 11 cross country meets in high school and didn't have a coach team or anything else
i was a loner
now that i have a team and a coach it is a lot more fun that is for sure

did you compete at state games of america there banisster?
seeing as how your from colorado i was wondering because i qualified for that national event but didn't have the money

kane you are a very good runner but you can do so much more with your running
your only a sophomore right?

don't worry about everybody else just keep your focus for states

but you can't compare your times to bannister right now
i mean he got 17th in the state so unless colorado sucks for xc, which i know they don't, they are very strong, then 17th more then likely isn't going to get beat by low 18's
the worst i would say he did with time was low 17's to get a 17th place finish

but just keep working and you'll get to the state meet yes but also open up to get a medal eventualy

but i always went by this thing in high school
lead by example not by words or what you say you can do
prove it and never compare yourself to anybody
just keep getting better and then nobody will say anything
right cool runnings???
i hope you guys can settle this dumb dispute between a freshmen and a sophomore

deuce: sorry if i came across as cocky. i was just trying to put eminem in his place as said by roger bannister. he was the one that came across as very cocky to be, so i was trying to show him that he shouldnt be. i know my times arent that good at all. seriously, i dont know why kane is so mad at me, i was just trying to prove to him that CR is not as good as he says. and, you put me back in place where i should be in your mind, but i wasnt trying to sound like i was the best. i know its an ok time for a runner, and above average for a freshman. i just always find it annoying at races when Ridge has a boom box playing very loud music while my team and I are trying to get into race mode. it disrups the whole atmosphere of the race scene. i realize that they will only continue to do this more (along with the huge tent with kids screaming and yelling inside it) since I said this, but i just had to say something back to them for annoying the rest of the teams at every meet and acting like their the best. i was just saying all of that stuff to provoke your team, but i didnt mean anything bad by it even though i know you took it that way. good luck at states.

coolrunnings i am in college running
and yeah that is how i took it
lol
but i'm not from ridge either
i went to nbc
and i know what ya mean about music getting annoying
lol
at our conference meet the other week
they had elevator music blasting out of a sound system
and it was the music that they play like for slow motion in a movie or w/e
but i just got a song from mettallica in my head and just focused on that with my running and it averaged out fine
but we got there and it was like omg
it seemed like an unfair advantage and i still think it was
but just gotta try to get around it
lol

Oh yeah?????? I ran LehighU's 10K course in 32:32 in college, my first 5K was 15:55, then I died and "only" ran a 16:37 for the last 5K. Pretty bad, huh?

Sad part is, I placed around 100th out of 350 runners with that time.

oh and by the way... i not matt brooker. all i said was i was a freshman that ran 1743. hahaha. fools! i tricked you all.

ps: kane dont go up to matt brooker at states and say anything. sorry if i damaged his reputation, but his really is a nice kid and not cocky. i know i shouldn't have said i was him... probably like a billion people will say that was a horrible thing to do or something

thats not too bad but for lehigh that was what about 5th on the team?
not to sound ignorant or anything.
but lehigh is like nationaly ranked this year i believe and they are either d1 or d2

and what year did you run that

we focus on the 8k instead
since we are D3 lol
but my time isn't too bad for a freshmen
but when you consider that our top guy runs about 16 min for his first then it kinda puts it into perspective a little more

i want to shoot for sub 30 min for 10k once i transfer to st francis

alright, just to clear everything up, im not from colorado, but from this great state. i just want to make sure that eminem here just puts his money where his mouth is and back his words up with some action. and just to let all u guys out there know that i did actually qualify for states on my own power, running low to mid 17'sinstead of with a team(like eminem here did). i agree with cool runnings that the boombox is quite annoying and so is there big zoo AKA tent, they have going on at big meets. i need to get in the zone and its hard when he have kids runing around with there shirts off and their boombox playing crap music. the only people that could ever do that are the people who are going to win states, which i highly doubt anyone from this area will, so we all need to stop. myself included. however, i hope that on saturday i don't see any CR kids or bedford kids prancing around the meet like they own the place unless they are going to win the whole thing. which won't happen. so leave ur boomboxes at home, and run hard at state. good luck to everybody. u too, rap boy.
