haha i agree. If ferndales fan section actually behaved like half decent people instead of like a bunch of back country folks when they come to the games then there wouldnt be a problem with the refs. If they pushed a ref that far to have him start swearing at them then there must have been something going on.

What is the difference, he said sandusky was better than smith and played the older kid, and oravec and medva are older, but his boy is in? Go figure!!! Smith could have been alot better if coach would have played him earlier. Every game he got in he showed the talent, but coach wouldn't play him. So your answer to smith being embarressed is wrong answer. He is living the dream and finally getting to play all game and lovin it. This was a waste sitting on the bench here at shade for 2 years when he knew what he could do, but 1 mistake and he was pulled. Coach don't do that this year because his kid would be tyler and we don't want that! So no smith is playing for himself and lovin it. He knows noone at shade will put in a good word for him. He doesn't care about stupid accolades. He knows his coaches here at shade started this mess on this board by telling everybody he has a bad attitude. Well coaaches, he is showing you all in hoops what his attitude is all about! Unless fyock pulls the plug on him his senior year like boley did in football. Whatever it is what it is! You can't hurt the kid anymore! He knows he has no backing at shade except his family and we all know he is a great kid and worked his butt of for his senior year. It just stinks he was stuck at shade, and he knows it!!!! He can't wait to graduate and get out of this two-faced town that puts favorites ahead of kids that have all the talent in the world!
Why is it that you dont wanna win? All you care about it personal records huh AB? 1000 points.. What ty is doin now is helpin the whole TEAM win, not just himself. Im sure ty would like to get all those points but i think hed rather have another couple of medals for his senior year in bball rather than a basektball with paint of in sayin 1000 points tyler smith..

I think a silent hero in the area is Josh Lupek from Conemaugh Valley. He probably averaged close to 20 ppg. as a junior and probably doing a little more than that this season. He plays each game without nonsense, no bells and whistles, if you would. He just plays the game and does not draw attention to himself. I am not saying he is "a D1 recruit" as all the site experts like to talk about, but he is someone I would like to have on my team.

Are you saying this because I complimented Josh Lupek on be a good basketball player and a player who plays with sportsmanship and respect?

By no means have I cut anybody down. I was critical of the officials in the Ferndale/CV game but I believe they do let games get out of hand. I am not saying they are not good guys, I know them all and like them. I see you are new to the BC site and I hope this is not going back to the Shade talk again!!

Do no not get me wrong, Lupek is a very good player, but u can not say he is d1 material, or even d2, he would be a good player for a decent d3 team, the only player in this area right now that is lookin at a chance at d2 is Kenny Gibbons. With his shooting and him still growing, he will be a nice college athlete. Gaunt from Ferndale is good just because he is playing in a weak conference and takes 50 shots a game and his only scores come from layups, he is not a very good shooter at all. Still he could play d3. Smith might have a chance at d2 but most likely d3. He is not efficient enough right now, but i love his intensity.
