I don't disagree that it is a big dual meet. The biggest of the year for both teams in the regular season. But look at the history. Bedford generally wins. I think it is MUCH bigger for CR then it is for Bedford. I think he needs to down play it for his wrestlers a bit. I don't think you want them to feel the season is a failure this early. They need to look at it like another match and move on to the next one.

I absolutely agree, I think he made those comments for his wrestlers. It is a smart but not very true statement on his part! If I am a ridge coach I try to use those comments for the potential next meeting though.

If wrestlers from either team need "bulliten board" material they don't have much competitive fire.

I would venture to guess that The Bedford and CR Jr High exhibition matches that took place before the start of any other wrestling had a bigger crowd and a louder crowd then 80% of varsity wrestlers at any other school ever see in a dual meet.

Yes there was an article. BC has a CR/B match summary and even BC commented that the stall call was questionable. He then spend the other half of the article talking about gamma knife perlfexion. The gazette should change BC's column from "JUST SPORTS" to "JUST SPORTS and Bill Creps' medical procedures and bowel movements" lol

The regular season Ridge vs. Bedford match should not be what defines the season. "IF" bedford were to beat ridge at DD's this past dual meet would mean absolutely nothing. Yes, its an exciting match and im sure its fun to wrestle in but a win or a loss does not define either of their seasons. I have no problem with what creps said.

It probably determines who will host he district duals

imo Berlin is the only school capable of giving Ridge a seedable loss before DDs.

Undefeated Berlin should cruise aside from matchups with Ridge and Meyersdale.

Undefeated Meyersdale should cruise aside from matchup with Berlin.

I don't know tiebreaker steps if Ridge and Meyersdale both run the table.
