One of their football coaches acted like a complete jerk as well. Yelling profanities at the officials and fans from the top of the press box. I would think the school's administration wouldn't put up with that.

OK, I did some research over the weekend. ALL officials are subject to evaluations. The PIAA website actually has the evaluation form on it. I also spoke with some officials from D6. They are evaluated during regular season by chapter evaluators. Apparently this helps determine playoff assignments. Officials are subject to evals in the playoffs as a part of the process to see if they get more playoff assignments. They were not sure of the eval process in other districts other than the fact that all playoff game officials are evaluated regardless of district. They were quick to point out that crowd reaction was NOT a part of evals and that every time they make a call, fans from 1 team will like the call, while fans from the other team won't. I personally have no affiliation with a team, and have seen good and bad officials. Hopefully the eval process will work to get the good ones in the playoffs.

That is funny oldskool about willis and munster because they are as bad as you get from refs. I agree 100%. Willis is always looking up in the crowd and munster can't see or run.

Goal of officials, to call the game evenly both ways. If they are making terrible calls and it is happening both ways then stop crying. Deal with it. As long as its even both sided the refs aren't changing the game it's still up to the players

When there are 3 "officials" on the floor, and people get knocked to the floor 6-8 ft. in front of them, and nothing is called, they should be ashamed of taking pay for that game.

Manfred, you need to be more specific than that. I've seen a lot of basketball games at all levels (college & pro incl.) where guys get knocked to the floor and it's not a foul. An example would be 2 guys incidentally colliding when going after a loose ball. Basketball is still a contact sport. Un-educated fans still think that all contact is a foul. Sooooo not true. I had the privilege of watching the Shade vs Shanksville game last night. A very physical game. A lot of contact both ways that was not called a foul. The key being "both ways". I could see how many fans thought there were fouls. The officials let things go "both ways". I thought they were consistent in there calls and non-calls. We have bashed some officials by name, so I will also give credit to Opegard, Miller and Saylor for consistency.
