I apologize, I want to correct myself here. Crosby is now currently tied for 5th in points.

Heres a nice little breakdown for Konjo... lets see how he disputes these facts.
[ul][li]October -- 1[/li]
[li]November-- 4[/li]
[li]December-- 4[/li]
[li]January-- 8[/li]
[li]February-- 7[/li][/ul]
Those are Crosbys goals by month.... mind you today is the 9th day of this month. He's not on the downside of his career. He's not losing his title as best player in the world. He was in a prolonged slump... those happen. The entire team was in a slump for the first two months of the season. The change behind the bench has done absolute wonders for Sid and the entire team. He's been a 2ppg player for the last 11. The Pens are currently sitting in the 3 spot in the Metro after being totally out of the playoffs a few short weeks ago. I don't think the Pens can catch the Caps but I do believe Crosby can make the points race interesting. It's going to be a fun few months...
Oh and this one is just for you Konjo.... "he's the best player in the world for a reason"-- Ryan Getzlaf. I guess his opinion doesn't matter though, right?

Typical of you... you are nowhere to be seen after he has 2 goals and 2 assists but a poor showing and right there you are. You're a joke.

Hey Konjo remember a few months ago when Crosby was the 15th best player in the league and the Pens were on the outside of playoffs looking in and Malkin was the Pens best player... man those were some good points you made.
Now Crosby is closing in on second in the league in points... the Pens have the third most points in the entire eastern conference and Malkin won't be back until May.
The Pens are riding a 6 game winning streak, Crosby is playing like the player everyone knows he is and their depth play has been a breath of fresh air. They just went into Philly and absolutely dismantled a red-hot Flyers team from whistle to whistle. The score was 4-1 but it wasn't even that close. In typical Flyer fashion once the game was decided they attempted to take it into the alley... the Pens kept their composure and couldn't be sucked into that garbage.
Fast forward 24 hours and the Pens ran the best team in all the land straight out of the barn. All in all a pretty great week and weekend for the Pens. Holding the Caps/Flyers to 35 combined shots on goal is pretty impressive for a team that constantly has it's defense questioned.
With this latest surge the Pens have given themselves some breathing room in the highly contested playoff race... it's going to be a fun few weeks.
