....Crimson's Ghost wanted to know if I documented all of this stuff about the onside kick and the going for 2. Yeah, it's called the Tribune Democrat, another member of your family.
....To thebrigade: If you can "PUT THE NAIL" in the coffin of your opponent with 2 minutes gone in the 2nd quarter, did you REALLY think you were going to need a trick play such as an onside kick during the game. Couldn't you sense you weren't going to need it from the way the first quarter was going?????
....sportsfan1000: Humiliating losses caused by pariochial schools? What happened to the "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you"? Is that still in the Bible? Shouldn't parochial schools be aware of this? Tell me, is the phrase "What goes around, comes around" in the Bible too? Maybe McCort will learn this the hard way at some point this season.
....And as far as the "going for two" is concerned, can someone explain to me again why BM went for two up 39-0 late in the 3rd quarter?
....This kind of stuff (onside kicks with big leads, going for 2 with big leads, and running up the score) is why BC was left out of the mix when the Appalachian Conference disbanded years ago. The teams of the App Conference were fed up with this kind of play, and when the Westpac and Heritage conferences were formed, THERE WAS NO ROOM FOR BC. Then, after playing an independent schedule for a year, came crying to the LHAC for admission. Teams and coaches have a way of remembering things that go on on the football field. What goes around, comes around. If you are a gentleman on the field, it will pay dividends. If you want to make enemies.......
