Do you think BA and Alliquippa are comparable?
of course not, but that wasn't your question.
You asked if anyone thought Richland had been "punched in the mouth". I would refer to it as being in a close game, so the answer is yes, Richland has been in 2 close games.

No. Hence I do not feel this game will be close at all. But you said Richland hasn't been punched. They have just not as hard as they will be.

I believe I said it before but personally I really think this team is better than the '03 state team with Revis.

Apparently my definition of " punched in the mouth" is different than yours.
When I think of punched in the mouth it's when another team comes out and puts up 14, 21 points on you and your teams fights back into the game.
Being down by 3 to McCort and 7 to Bellwood isn't much adversity.
Just difference of opinion.
Good luck to the rams!!
I would love to see the upset.

As a Richland supporter, you have to feel confident. This is their best team, and they are pretty freakin good!! But so are the Quips, I fear this game could get out of hand. Aliquippa has the ability to run them right off the field, and I hope people realize this.
I think Richland can keep it close, I hope they do....and I think they will. But I'm mindful of the Quips talents.

If your Richland you're going about this the right way. No way you're gonna roll over and just give in. Sometimes talent just prevails. I remember reading Roths' comments from Southern Columbia after his game last year about his team defending the screen to Tyler Boyd perfectly but how can you tell a kid who is in breakdown position staring at his belt buckle head up arms spread and he makes a cut and disappears? Same concept here. It could be a case its 7-7 mid 2nd...Henry breaks a long one. Richland has ball wide open guy in the flat but Henry or Swanson make a break on the ball that 99% of kids would be lucky to even tip the ball but they take it PICK 6 cause they're that fast and that athletic. And halftime its 21-7 and they return the 2nd half kickoff 88 yds and now the route is on and it ends up 49-7. That's how it goes against these guys and I've been watching them since Don Yanessa was their coach. I havent seen Richland play so I won't make a prediction but Richlands key is to avoid the avalanche cause once it starts it never ends.

Has Alliquipa seen a no huddle offense that creates the amount of confusion that Richland's does? I think of it similar to what the zone defense at Syracuse does in basketball. I agree that Richland is going to see some real good athletes, but they might be able to do some things to keep Alliquipa off balance and if they can hang around long enough, who knows what happens.

South Fayette had that kind of offense and that was the much anticipated Final everybody thought was gonna happen and Wash Hi crashed the party..Quip vs South Fayette. After watching Wash Hi vs South Fayette On Demand I'll say South Fayette has a future d1 qb, a legit d1 wr and 2 other very good wr and I'll say SF offense could have scored 1-2x and it might have been a shoot out for a quarter max. But Aliquippa wouldnt have punted. Literally. And they would have got stops and INTs and won 50 something to 14 or maybe 21. And South Fayettes offense was extremely good no huddle...great qb...4 wrs...etc. Jeannette and Wash Hi had really good run defenses and it was 7-10 yds per carry for Quip. The formula is simple run on them and stop their running game. I too mid season thought SF Wash Jeannette and Quip were all "close" with Quip being 7-10 points better than those three. Well my 7-10 should have been 27-30.

Richland ran the no huddle against BA, but what was the point? They used the whole 25 second clock to snap the ball. The point of the no huddle is to keep the "D" from making subs and if you take that long to snap the ball, why run it? If they run it tomorrow night, hopefully they run it well and keep the Quips off balance. It would be GREAT to see two District 6 teams playing in Hershey next weekend, GOOD LUCK RAMS!!!

Are there really that many subs on defense in high school based on different situations? Especially in A and AA football?
