None of these mentioned players stack up to Henri Richard in Konjo's book. Henri by far (on Konjo's metric for measuring greatness) is the best hockey play of all time.

Hey I'm not saying malkin should be higher on the list but for him to drop dramatically crosby has those same problems! Toews is sitting laughing at people like you ranking crosby higher when one is winning multiple cups and the other struggles to get past round 1 in the playoffs.

And he's people "Question" my credibility but more times than not I'm correct in predictions. Where as you all are not. So please keep questioning me while I watch every year exactly what Ive been saying

I doubt Towes is sitting laughing at people... he is smart enough to realize that he is on a semi dynasty in the modern era. I would assume he knows that the talent he has been surrounded with far exceeds the talent Sid has.

Tell me this... please... if Toews is so great why do all the coaches, players, and GM's in the league consistently say that Crosby is the one they would start a franchise with? They can't all be wrong, can they?

Sure, Malkin is so low because he scored 70 points this year. That's insanely good; that still makes him one of the best in the league. Not too many players boast a PPG pace, but he did. But all of us on here know he's not only just insanely good, he's not just a PPG player, he's not the mediocracy (by his standards) that he's been for the past couple of years. I think we discussed before that he was hampered by injury this year, yes I get that. But unfortunately that does not constitute a great enough excuse for his slump. Why 17th? I just out of curiosity checked where Malkin ended up in points standings: tied for 17th. I swear I did not know until today. That has nothing to do with it but it's interesting. He's not in the top 10 and he's where I have him because empirically in all situations this season it seemed like he was about 75-80% of himself. I figured that at about 80% that's where Malkin falls. Unfortunately I'm not going to make some bullshit up like Konjo. I can't pin point a situation where it justifies that Malkin is this low on my list. To be honest, he probably gives no shits that I hold him this low. He's just, off. He's not himself, and I'm hoping management/coaching staff can find a line combination that brings the best out of him this year.

Andersen deserves a spot on this list. I think where I have him is pretty fair. The ducks had a loaded top 6 last season; outside of that they blew. That's where Andersen picked up the slack.

Doughty > Weber?! Never in a million years. Doughty is spectacular. Probably on track to becoming one of the best offensive oriented defenseman in the history of the NHL. He doesn't even hold a wick of a candle to the legacy that Shea Weber has already imposed himself on the league. Shea steps on the ice and some of the best stars in the league immediately jump off. His physicality, his speed, his mean streak are unparalleled. Your head is down he is going to slam you. He is like a shark and he just senses lackadaisical play, and then he will make you pay for it. Do you know how intimidating it is to be playing against somebody that is just hunting for heads? Imagine that person being an NHL caliber player. Then imagine him being 6'4 240 pounds. Then imagine knowing that this player is historically known for havin no sympathy for any pain he causes. Drew Doughty is where he belongs, so is Shea Weber.

I want it to go on record though that I would not put Malkin at 17. But I agree with what you said and see your point. You are making me question my hockey knowledge hahaha.

I agree with malkins spot but you can't keep sid at 1 and move malkin all the way down when they suffer similar tendencies. That's my point

Malkin can be lazy... Sid brings it every single night. I love Malkin and he is a top 5 talent in the world but for whatever reason he just doesn't always perform at that level.
