Penn State's coach promised to dominate the state, he has more talent with all those great recruiting classes.  They better not blow it....

Lets be honest about attendance. Majority of pitt and probably psu will just be there to party. They wont care either way how the game goes.

Neither team is going to do anything special this year! This game will be rivalry yes but nothing more than a party fest

The quote was just a funny movie quote...

Anyway - say Pitt wins but PSU has 50/50 fans at the game.  Does that make you guys feel better? Is it that big of a deal that you have something over Pitt fans because more of your fans are obsessed with their team and will travel to prove it?  Is that obsession why they've had more on-field success in recent decades.  Did this obsession create a culture which should have focused on more important things than football?

Discuss.

I'm the dude, playing the dude, disguised as another dude. Easily one of Tom Cruise's best movies...
That's all I have

Pitt fans who reference the turn of the century to measure Pitt against PSU are completely delusional and have no sense of reality whatsoever. The 15 year stretch that Pitt stayed within "something like 4 games of Penn State". It's 115 wins for PSU and 108 wins for Pitt. During that stretch, penn State had their worst 5 year stretch in the history and 4 years worth of a scandal and sanctioned football. Despite all of that, Pitt still managed to win less games. In the past 70+ years, Pitt has had 6 seasons where they were relevant (unless you include upsetting a WVU team during a 5-7 season or beating a 5 win penn state team 12-0). Name Pitt's last 11 win season....ill wait

If having a few more wins than Pitt in a 15 year stretch is the standard, that's the standard. I always thought Penn State tried to aim higher.

You apparently missed the part where in 15 seasons, 4 of them were throw sways because of the sanctions. The other 11 were coached by a man well past his prime but still managed to win 11 games 3 times. Something Pitt has not done since 1982.

Also, as for the game, I think Penn State will have at most 15k in the stands, maybe 20, but I also think you're delusional if you think Pitt has 43k for home games. Their announced attendance is nowhere near reality.

It is true most pitt games fill heinz field up to maybe 50% capacity? Most pitt students going are only going for the tailgate/parties. They could care less about the game
