Dcor if you want to get personal, walk on up to me and say something. Don't hide behind your keyboard there toughie. I'm free to do whatever I want. If my kid wants to go to McCort and feels it's the best thing for him that's what I'll do. You have no idea as to why that choice was made, but I suggest before you run your mouth and include my child you decide to take a better path.

Ligonier is a great team, if they win 84-0 who cares, but there's ways you do it, that's all..period...and don't forget it's a small world, you wanna take it to another level we can do that.
Crimsonlion you been on here jawing about how things are and should be done.
My father knew Jerry Page personally when he was up here at Portage, followed his career and  when he talks about Jerry it's with utmost admiration for him.
However, Greg Page, which you got to give credit for what his team's have done. But, couple years ago during pregame warmups, he decided to start yelling at Portages star running back about what him and his team were going to do to him. I was on the field firsthand to hear the debacle. So happens the star running ran for 250+ .....and beat the undefeated team. Thanks Greg!!
From then on out I may respect the coach but never the man!
Stang4life, This statement is absurd.  Why would a coach who is preparing to play a game that would decide the #1 seed in District 6 take time out of his pre-game routine to, as you say, "start yelling at Portage's star running back"?  Just doesn't make any sense.  I would love to know what your role was as you were "on the field firsthand".  Greg Page is a personal friend of mine, and I find your unfounded hearsay disrespectful and laughable at the same time.  Coach Page is an outstanding football coach; however, he is an even better man.

So you're biast then? I don't know the coach at all so I'm not going to say he's a nice guy or not, but I have seen and meant some of the nicest coaches in the state. Every coach at times had a bad moment that haunts him for a while.

Yes, I am biased, which is why I feel the need to debunk this crap!

Even on his worst day, Greg Page would not conduct himself in the manner described!!!!

Greg Page would never engage in jawing as you say with a student-athlete... 99% of coaches would not act that way. I recall an incident from a scrimmage only a few years back where Coach Gauss screamed and yelled at one of Homer-Center's players and began walking toward the young man and continued to yell at the opposing player until one of his own assistants pulled him back and calmed him down. Greg Page pulled the young man out of the scrimmage and apologized for this young man without knowing what had even occurred. He's a good guy... learned from one of the best

I agree, this Greg Page story sounds fishy, I guess that we are supposed to believe that Gouse and staff just let this go on.
