Re: Steelers
The tomlin callers are funny and pathetic... Tell me what other team besides NE has won multiple SBs during his time?
NOs had talent, Seattle has had talent, Denver had talent, Carolina had talent, Cowboys, packers, chargers, bengals so many teams have a lot of talent.
I think the only org to win multiple titles during the tomlin era might be NE and NYG, the rest only have 1

Re: Steelers
The fact still remains if the 2 most obvious poor calls didnt happen this season the steelers are 10-4-1 and playing for a 2nd and maybe even 1st seed.
They deserved to lose some games this year that they played horribly. Yesterday was not one of them and neither was LAC game.
If they were 10-4-1 people on here calling for Tomlins head stuidly, would be praising him to end degrees

Re: Steelers
This is why your argument lacks depth. You want to compare Tomlin to the greatest coach in NFL history paired with the greatest QB in NFL history. I can also name multiple coaches with franchise QB’s surrounded by a ton of talent who can’t compare to Tomlin over this same stretch.everett wrote:Tell me who of today's coaches has as much star power on their roster, but continues to do NOTHING post-season? This sport is about the post season, not who has the best regular season record. He has had a franchise QB his entire tenure--much like another up in NE who has owned this century with his post season wins. There are coaches right now who do more, with less than what Tomlin has. End of story.theprophet wrote:Tell me who is more accomplished as a head coach???? List the coaches active today who has won a super bowl???? Then list who has been to multiple Super Bowls????? Then list a coach who has never had a losing season???? In the most competitive professional sport you must expect to win a super bowl ever year when there are franchises who never even made it to one. Don’t be one of those guys, lol.everett wrote: Greatness in what, the regular season?? Is that what we are trying to do? String together several winning seasons? I thought the goal was post-season wins and super bowls? What exactly statistically is he 'great' at? Is sure as hell isn't time management, challenge reviews, using 6 all-pros on his team, achieving post-season success, or developing talent.
Tomlins job is to put this talented roster in a situation to win. He does not always do that. Too many games playing down to competition, penalties, lack of communication, etc.
Saints
Chargers
Green Bay
Detroit
Atlanta
Carolina
Giants
Re: Steelers
The argument can be made for the Saints game because it was a 4th down and the Steelers would have got the ball compared to 1st and goal for the Saints as a result of the bad call.
The chargers call people have to let go. It was a 1st and 10 in the first quarter. Yes the Steelers might have stopped them or they could have just of scored later. That’s why I feel that call wasn’t the end of the world.

How many Super Bowls have the Saints won? The Packers? Chargers?

With that steelers need a tie on snf....
Funnily enough refs make a huge blunder that goes against the steelers again... This time it was calling a play dead in the browns v ravens game that was a clear browns TD.
Horrible refs are the major story of this NFL season

Re: Steelers
Yep, and Cleveland play calling on last drive was worse. You’re at the 39, it’s 4 down territory anyway and you got a timeout.... why was there was no screen/draw/ dump on 2nd or 3rd down even just to get inside the 35 for option of long fg to win? Right back to despising Cleveland... hahahakonjo78 wrote:With that steelers need a tie on snf....

Re: Steelers
To be slightly fair about the play call... they tried a lot of screens throughout to game to little success. A lot went negative yards
