I'm a loyal Penn State fan and I really do think DeChellis is getting the program to respectable status. He has already brought in two solid recruits for next year as well. One of which I'm sure we'll be seeing in the PIAA class A playoffs for Kennedy Catholic/Christian/Mormon University.

Besides, rooting for PSU hoops is no worse than rooting for the Pirates, you know they suck, but you might get to see them win a game.

I'm glad to see that someone actually is a true PSU fan. It's nice to see someone isn't jumping on a bandwagon. I respect every Pirates fan there is. You have to really be a fan to keep on rooting for them.

Interesting as the night of the Big Ten/ACC challenge scores come in:

Wake Forest 91, Wisconsin 88
Florida State 97, Purdue 57 (OUCH!)
Clemson 96, Penn State 88
Illinois 68, North Carolina 64
Michigan 74, Miami (FL) 53

So the ACC won 3 of 5 for tonight. That ties both conferences with 3 wins apiece (Ohio State beat Virginia Tech last night). Interesting notes include Illinois winning the rematch of last year's title game, and Penn State not completely getting blown out by Clemson, and hanging tough. After going down 47-30 to start the game, they outscored Clemson 58-49 in the second half. Not too bad. They might be a better team this year.

North Carolina returned NO starters from last years team and still only lost by 4. PSU was down by as much as 22 in the second half at home. With that kind of lead, don't you think Clemson played a different style in the second half? A little more conservative than the run and gun? You can't compare halfs like that. Totally different circumstances that at the beginng of the game.

You don't have to apologize to me. You're allowed to like and do whatever you want. I just don't see how you can rip on someone else when you're just as bad.

You're right. I'm just as bad as being a diehard pitt fan last year to a diehard longhorns fan this year? Correct me if I'm wrong, but when I've liked Duke in basketball for as long as I can remember, then it's ok right? It's not like flipflopping year after year....

I've never heard of you talking about rooting for a bad team. I wonder why?

You're right. I didn't love PSU last year, even when they were 4-7. It's not my fault you weren't around when the Steelers were 6-10. Duke's always been good.

I know I've made fun of Penn State's B-Ball schedule, but get aload of this. At the Coliseum at WVU yesterday, the Mountaineers defeated Division III Washington and Jefferson 83-33. W&J only scored 8 points in the second half. At least PSU plays UMKC and IPFW. At home, of course.
