colonel,
Are you saying he needs more clearances to be a football coach than he would as a teacher?
The long wait in the hiring process had nothing to do with clearances etc. It was the result of a botched attempt to hire a coach beginning back in January.
That being said, from what I hear, the botched effort may end up working in Westmont's favor. The board may come out of this smelling like a rose. Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while. Everything I have heard about Matt Glennon has been positive. It looks like he will bring a lot of discipline and accountability to the football program. Some of the returning players are in for a rude awakening.
For those that complained about McLaurin's lack of discipline, will experience a 180 degree turnaround in that department. The Hilltoppers will be back.
He was not hired back in March or even April. He was hired last week and met the team on Thursday.colonelsanders wrote:Vman, they hired him first as a teacher back in march or april when they knew that the one social studies teacher will be retiring. they then had to do the long process of getting the clearences with his football job. so he was first hired as a teacher and then as a coach.
