I believe that Adam would have been 1 on 1 if BM was double covering Ripple. I think it could have made a difference in the game.
However, both teams need to move on to week 6. Congrats to the McCort kids and Richland kids for their resiliency on Friday. Great game!

Yes- Lets start to focUs on the second half of the season. I got to see the game Friday and was impressed with both teams refusal to to loss that game. I think it topped last years game at the Point. It is hard to say that Richland is that terrible against the run when they were up against the best running team in the conference (though this is their weakness), and you can't say McCort can't defend the pass when they were up against the best passing team in the conference. It was a great matchup and this game may be turning into a rivalry that noone would have dreamed of a few years ago. It is time to start a new thread on were we all rank the LHAC teams after the 1st half of the season.

says the kid who picked richland to finish last in the conference and lose to mccort by 6 tds? I am unsure of what Adam would have done because well he was not playing, but with Lowery being the only person who had a chance against ripple on that nite I like nate against a corner 10 inches his junior on the fade from the 31 yd line. Also would not have put Ripple in the bunch on that last drive too easy to bump him and knock him off his route, he also would have most cerainly drawn 2 defenders away from the bunch. Either way it was a great game and shows the quality of the LHAC congrats both teams hopefully they will both make the playoffs and do well for the LHAC and jtown area.

Where did you predict them to be koc?
Right now they only have one more win than CH, WH, and Somerset and its week 6! Last year they "got up" for the BM game, diddo for this year AND it was home coming. Lets see how the rest of the year plays out. They do finish the season with the weakest schedule, playing Som, WH, Bed, FH, then Heights. They should end the season on a high note at 4-1 (6-4 altogether). We'll see if that will be good enough for playoffs. Hopefully those guys realize they are playing for playoffs now and can make some noise in the playoffs!

Good point DWG! There are lessons to be learned from that loss on Friday, and hopefully they have learned them. This 2nd half of the schedule could be a pivotal point in the future of Ram football. Will they dig deep and be the team they can be, or will they cash it in and talk about the team the could have been? I personally think this team is better than last years team. Hope they can make the playoffs.

I believe this team has potential for Rland but last years was better for a few reasons
A) better overall defense (with Sczuar being a machine last year and playing sound defense minus somerset and Jtown which are about 10x easier to stop this year but held McCort to 90 some yards rushing)
B) Having somewhat of a rushing game with three seniors in the backfield
C) #2 for the Rams
Nonetheless, all Richland this year has to do is win one playoff game and they may be considered better
As far as McCort goes, easily better last year

well judging by the fearless forcast that week I was one of the few who actually did pick Richland so there were not too many, in reality I was just picking an upset and was surprised by how close the game was with McCort having the team they have. It seems the days of McCort destroying Richland in blowouts is over, and by the looks of Rland future (better enrollment, strong 7th and 8th grade class number wise and football wise) and the McCort Decline (decline enrollment, weaker 7th 8th and parchioal league), McCort will be the team that continually gets defeated.
