I just saw an article in the New York times that said South Fork, Pennsylvania was the top place to bring up a child. They say its in th water.
Other news,,, I dont know if anyone saw the news tonight but it showed Mehall and McCarty signing teir letters of intent to colleges. We have known for awhile know about McCarty going to play at Cal U. Mehall committed to Saint Francis. A lot of local talent going there which is good to see.
Sources say with grades and athletic schoorships Mehall is getting about 30,000 a year and McCarty is only paying like 1,000 dollars or a full scholorship for him..
Good to hear for these kids.

I am surprised that McCarty got into a college considering his poor grades. But i guess with talent and strength like he has that they can look past that. It's nice to see more local kids playing ball in college now. I think that recruiters finally realized how much talent is in this area.

Steelerfan, What do you even know for sure about McCarty's grades? Cal is a state school and not known for it's academic reputation, really. So why is it such a surprise for McCarty to have gotten in there? I hope you have some information the rest of us don't before you come on here and degrade a kid.
Congrats to both of these players, some of the hardest workers ever from FH coming from numerous staff members.

Any word on where O'Saben and Wasilewski from CC are headed? Would love to see Andrew and Scott Mehall
from FH in the same backfield at least for a couple series in the upcoming Ken Lantzy game!

seems like a lot of kids going PSAC this year, more so in past year...anyone care to make a list

I dont know of the list, but I would say that just in general there are a good number of kids going on to college ball. Whether it be the PSAC schools, DIII, or DI/DI AA schools. I hope to see them all have success at the next level and wish them luck.

its nice to see area players suit up for the red flash---dont know what the average crowd for home games was last year but i got to believe the gate will triple with all the local talent---- its about time the local school recruits close to home--- why recruit country wide when im sure area kids could match the record the flash has put together the past couple of years--- good luck to all the players and for that matter the area coaches as well--- i think ill be scalping tickets so im looking forward to the season--- the fan---
