I said since the '07 team. You cannot tell me this team has as much talent as '08 who had a 1,000 yard passer in Glessner, or 1,800 yard rusher in Mehall, or a beast up front like McCarty, or a receiver as good as Rosenburger(although McCombie is close). In '09, a lot of the same kids played as now, but the line was much better with Gdula, Oshaben, and Hindaliter. Also still had Glessner, and Moss at safety.

There's no knock against this years team, I'm just a realist. I realize that this team is beating up on some chump teams. And I realize our area saw a great amount of talent in the mid 00's even if you refuse to believe it. I challenge you to find another period where the LHAC had this many kids play college ball.
I've stated on here a few times this years FH team can make some noise in the state playoffs.. but do I think they are as good as their statistics? No way. When was the last time the LHAC was a cakewalk? The FH backups could give most of the teams a run for their money this year, and it's not like FH is loaded with talent. When you see some quarterbacks throwing less than five times a game, it's comparable to Westpac football.

As far as the basketball comment, it was not directed towards watching a player play. It was simply on his ability to dunk. Sure coaches watch basketball games, because it gives a good example of side to side agility and also 1 on 1 competitiveness. Basketball is a sport where your teammates can't "hide" you as much as football. Your examples, also, are of big time D1 recruits. Not many coaches from Boro, Bloom, or Albany are gonna offer a kid on his basketball skills, for example.

exactly where is your college football experience/expertise from? A particular school? Do explain.

I would like to know too. Im sure if every kid listened to Lakers then nobody would be good enough to play on the next level.

He doesn't have to prove or validate himself. His point is strong, its one thing to hype a kid up, and another to give a kid unrealistic expectations. Its as simple as that.

And for the last time, a bunch of kids are good enough to play at the next level around here.. just not D1a! It's very rare to see. Get out and see some highschool game out of your local area and classification and you'll understand.

honestly, they play a lot better football outside of District 6. How about we get a bleachercoaches viewing party for the wpial championships at Heinz. i think i'm going down.

teams like Central Catholic,North Allegheny,McKeesport,North Hills ect for AAAA
Thomas Jefferson,Montour,West Allegheny ect for AAA
Aliquippa,Greensburg CC,and South Fayette for AA
Clairiton and Rochester for A.

These teams probably all have Division 1 or solid Divison II players. I'm a believer in Alkwan Williams,hes one of the best D6 has to offer, but How much would he really stick out if he went to McKeesprt?

Thank you Crimson, atleast someone gets my point. He'd be just another solid athlete.
There's no shame in that, I love my Rangers and support them to the death.. but I'm not counting on them or any other team to produce a D1a talent around here. When we do see one, he'll either be flying around the field and have another gear or too, or he'll be absolutely enormous.

Lakers im sure you probably didnt even play sports and your just a fan. Crimson i can agree with cause the majority of the big talent out of this area only comes from two schools that play at the next level.
