All I can say is about 2004 Berlin team. Had 14-0 lead on Rochester until they started playing dirty. Anything can happen.

a berlin/clairton game would be the same as the berlin/rochester game of 04. short corners against faster taller receivers. berlin's line that year was bigger than this years, but this years team is better in other positions. it's a tough business, but i see similar results. if berlin does win d5, they will score. if NBC wins they will score. township is the only team i could see not scoring points against a clairton team. even north star has the ability. like everyone though, i'd love to see the WPIAL champ lose. good luck to all teams

speaking of that 04 Berlin team, what ever happened to Eric D'carrion? man was he a talent. its easy to sit here and say that team x will score or what ever, but the bottom line is we need a D-5 win and i'm sure its not coming this year. Windber, i believe, played Clairton the toughest 2 years ago with all that offensive fire power they had, sniffed the goal line one time. it was 6-0 at the half, and the much more talented bears ended up winning 26-0. the 2006 team that played the Elijah Fields led Duquesne Dukes moved the ball all over the field, trailed 6-0 at the half an eventually lost to them 18-0. i guess what i'm saying is that D5 can be very competitive, they just need some breaks to get over the hump

kinda sounds like berlin came out early pumped up against a rochester team that was lathargic and not into the game at all got up 14-0 then rochester woke up started playing and steamrolled them

Eric D'con played at IUP for a bit and then decided to stop and join the Marines.

i was at the windber/dukes game in fact. there were many instances in that game that it seemed the ramblers were gonna be in a position to possibly take the lead and maybe even pull the upset until the dukes pulled away late. that was a very talented windber team, kotula was an absolute monster at mlb finished the year with something like 150 tackles, and a bit of a down year for wpial A thats what D5 needs if their ever gonna pull the upset. and year where the wpial A is having a down year, and theres a very very good team that comes out of D5

Berlin played great until D'Carrion broke his rib. Rochy was def. dirty in that game.
