Dont think there should be any punishments taken for they werent the only guys doing it. Not sure where/why this came up? I guess sports writers will dig for anything during the summer days...

By the late 60's steroids were pretty rampant in the Olympic sports, mostly amongst the Eastern Bloc nations. In the 70's they were used more and more by the American athletes. My guess is that by the late 70's they were being used by some athletes on most, if not all, professional football teams. They certainly didn't know then what they know about the drugs, but they did know that they were performance enhancers. Otherwise, there never would have been the desire to use them.

After the Berlin Wall came down and Iron Curtain (not the Steelers Iron Curtain) opened up, scores of documented use by East German athletes were uncovered. The IOC did not strip any of these athletes of their medals. The same thing will happen today with just about any other sport. Ken Caminitti was not stripped of his MVP in baseball even though he admitted using steroids. I think it's safe to say that anyone who used steroids in the 70's, 80's or early 90's will be left alone.

It was almost 40 years ago and even with an admittance from Bradshaw; they won't be removing rings. It wouldn't make any sense. The Steelers should sympathize with the Patriots, at least a little bit now. I wonder if Arlen Specter will be all over this, too.

Specter is a Philly fan... So he just might!

I really hope he does. He would prove even more of what a joke he is.
