how about some Week 1 chatter???

I feel like the quality of some of the local teams right around Bedford county are better than they've been in the last few years and this should make things very interesting in week 1.
Matchups I'm very interested in:
1. NBC @ Mo Valley- NB lost a lot from a year ago, but has a lot of capable replacements. MV could have easily been 7-3 instead of 6-4 a year ago. They return a ton of starters and look to be a top 5 D6A team. I'm excited to see how this plays out.
2. Everett at Glendale- The Warriors haven't been real good lately, but I think they rebound nicely this year. I saw Glendale this past weekend and was really impressed by what they bring to the table as well. I think this is going to be an excellent week 1 matchup as well. Glendale has size and gets after it. Everett has lots of good skill guys.
3. TM @ Juniata Valley- No Donaldson for TM, so how do they respond? I think McMurtrie and Neuder are going to be sufficient and the line is solid. JV lost some guys, but their single back is an ox. Can he take this JV team on his back in these toss up games?
4. Ridge @ Windber- The Shoemaker era gets going. Windber returns a ton of guys from last year's 5A semifinalist team. Again, I see this as another big tossup.
5. Bellwood @ Tyrone- Both are expected to contend for titles in District 6 A and AA respectively. Tyrone usually comes out ahead in this one, but B-A is a team good enough to beat them. If nothing else, I expect a huge crowd as always for this game.
6. Mt. Union @ Huntingdon- MU was on the verge of being pretty good a year ago. They return a lot of the core from a year ago. Huntingdon struggled. I think the Bearcats are probably the favorite here for sure. A big question in my mind is how does Mt Union respond to an early loss if they get beat. They have seemed to be a team that tanks after a couple of bad weeks. If they start of strong and upset Huntingdon they will be a tough out all year. A little confidence will do this team wonders.
I know week 1 this year is really exciting. There are lots of toss up games and a whole bunch of question marks. I'm just glad that it is for real this Friday night.
Any other opinions on these games????
