Recruiting Tidbits

Took a look at a few teams today on Scout.com to see how well they were doing at offering scholarships and then getting those kids. I was a little surprised at what I saw.
BALL STATE:
===============
This team is going undefeated, and they've been getting better each year under Brady Hoke. What I saw for their 2009 class was pretty impressive. Ball Satte is doing an EXCELLENT job of getting the kids they are targeting. The only position where they are getting beaten by other teams is at Safety. Everywhere else, they're basically getting who they want.
ALABAMA:
=============
Anytime there's uneasiness, it hurts recruiting. Alabama is already crushing Auburn in the state. With Auburn firing that coordinator, that changes everything with their offensive recruiting. On Alabama's recruiting board (going by the Scout rankings for each position) the only instances where a kid on the Alabama board, with offers to both schools, selected Auburn was with a few 3-star players way down the list. Montez Robinson, 4-star DE, is the only kid committed to Auburn over Alabama that is high on Alabama's list. Alabama is building another monster class and is high contention for every kid they are chasing.
ILLINOIS:
================
Illinois, for Zook being a recruiting genius, is not doing real well. They have a 4-star QB coming in, and have a 4-star WR from St. Louis committed, but i read last week that the WR is already basically telling people he is going to Missouri. Defensively, Illinois is getting scalped. They have tons of offers out there with no bites. I'm really sad to see that (yeah right).
BYU:
=============
Their recruiting is also pretty strong, including 2 4-star Safeties and a 4-star TE. They are basically getting whoever they want. Defensively, not as much as on offense, but they are still doing well. They've beaten-out a lot of big schools for the players they have so far.
