How about that Houston pick? Am I a genius or what? I'm pretty sure I heard Bart Simpson saying "aye carumba" all the way from Huntington, WV.

How bad did it get? Everytime Houston tried to rally, they'd give up 75 yards on the ensuing kick return. Then, it would be 3rd and 8 and they'd give up a 35 yard run. How bad is the Houston rush defense, you ask? They are "that bad".

Nothing seemed to go right for the Cougars. They lost tackle Josh Bell to a torn Achilles tendon then later lost freshman wide receiver Patrick Edwards after he suffered a serious leg injury in the third quarter.

Edwards, running deep for a pass from Blake Joseph, ran out of the back of the end zone into a band equipment cart parked just beyond the out-of-bounds line. The impact, captured by ESPN's cameras, caused a compound fracture of Edwards' right leg according to the Houston Chronicle.

Cougars coach Kevin Sumlin told the Chronicle that while he had "his opinions" on the subject, he would offer no comment on such a dangerous situation. Houston athletics director Dave Maggard said he will pursue the subject with Marshall officials.

I'll tell you what MY opinions are on it, coach. Ready? Your special teams is a "gosh darn" nightmare!!! Yes, Ken Sumlin, those dastardly Herd boosters purposely stuck a golf cart in the endzone hoping a player would crash into it and break his leg. That is an ingenious and well-thought plan!!!! PSU is OVER-RATED!!! Their "Biggest" victory was against an OSU team that got dismantled against the Pac-10 Juggernaut USC. Sure they deserve credit for winning all these games, but they are in the cupcake division this year...I for one am voting against giving that old geezer one last moment in the sun
