AP Poll

That's right, a team who played ONE decent team to date, and two I-AA teams, has jumped ahead of Penn State in the AP Poll. If this is the way things go, what is stopping each team in the country from scheduling 2 I-AA teams a season?

THAT is why the AP poll is no longer part of the BCS formula. Texas Tech jumped Oklahoma and USC in the Coaches Poll, and received 6 first place votes for 3rd. Penn State received 14 first place votes and is 2nd with Alabama receiving the remaining 1st place votes and atop the standings. And the Harris Poll usually mimics the Coaches Poll, plus, the computer to this point have hated Texas Tech, and I don't see them liking them that much more after beating UT. Sure, they'll jump up some, but not from 10th to 2nd like the AP made the jump from 7th to 2.

Last week both the USA Today Coaches Poll and Harris' had TT @ 5th in the rankings. Like I said, USA Today has TT behind PSU today, and I'd imagine that the Harris Poll will be the same. They're usually very very similar.

I wonder how far TT will fall after they lose to OKState next week, then get slaughtered at OU on the 22nd.

Unreal. TT jumped PSU and went from 10th to 1st in the computer rankings. Even when PSU was ranked ahead of both in the human polls.
