This Week in Nittany Lion Basketball (12/22/08)

Its been a big week for the Big Ten as they declared the dominance we all knew they would. Purdue stomps Davidson, Minne-ha-ha knocks off supposed Big East contender Louisville (which only proves my preseason prediction that Minnesota would easily win the Big East), Lions are TCB and a flash like Elvis (Takin' Care of Business), Michigan State pounds overrated and unathletic Texas. What more could you ask for?
After a crushing win over up and coming Lafayette, the Lions are set to take on a Sacred Heart team who is already in first place in their conference. Sacred Heart has lost a few very close games, including a loss to Providence where a lot of bad calls went in the favor of Providence. SH is led by Joey Henley, very high on draft boards, averaging over 13 pts per game, easily one of the top 3-4 players in the lower conferences. This is gonna be a huge battle, but I think Penn State will once again show their dominance by edging out another top-rated lower conference opponent. If they pick up the win, they get to enjoy the Christmas holiday while they flirt with the top 25.
