Later this season this area will be able to enjoy probably the best dual meet of the year outside of the state team tournament in Hershey between Westmont and Bedford. After see both of these teams in tournament action (Westmont in POWERade & Bedford in KoM), I think the dual meet between the two is too close to call. What does everyone else think?

Personally, whoever wins this dual meet the margin of victory is going to be a one match swing. I think Bedford by 2 if they wrestle the line-ups they have been so far this year.

Hopefully, when this match comes around in late January, the coaches will let their teams "Big Guns" square off against each other rather than juggling the line-up and hiding guys. Mano v Mano. Who's GUNS are bigger????

112 lbs Hough vs. Easter
130 lbs Kushner vs. Cook
152 lbs Keklak vs. Gibbons
215 lbs Bennett vs. Shippey

Another potentially great match-up will be at 171 lbs in Burnheimer vs. Brett

I think each team will trade pins at 103 lbs and 285 lbs.

This match will be great test to see who is deeper at the remaining weight classes. Whose line-up is more balanced? If you are a wrestling fan this is the match to watch this year outside of the State Duals in Hershey.

Shippey is an exceptional athlete but he is not match for Bennett. I'll give 6 to Westmont at 215. It wouldn't surprise me if they bump Bennett to wrestle Krupa.

When is the match?

Match is Scheduled for January 20th, 7:00 PM at Bedford High School.

Bennett only weighs around 200 lbs. He would be giving up a lot of weight to bump up to 285.

its going to be close but westmont has an outstanding group of kids.this will be the best match in the D6 maybe even in the whole state?

The more I look into this match up, I am changing my mind and giving the edge to the Hilltoppers. It will be tough for Westmont to go into Bedford's gym, and come out with a win, but I think now looking at it more they can do it. Even if some of the key match ups everyone would come to see don't happen. I think both teams will bump wrestlers around to try and get the win.

Bedford has the better dual meet team and should win this one. The match should be close. Bennett is too much for anybody Bedford has, including Krupa. The weight difference will not be enough to negate the talent difference.
