10 of Penn States verbals have offers from Pitt. Only 1 of Pitt's verbals has an offer from Penn State (Todd Thomas).

Pitt has 3 4-star players committed.

One is Raymond Graham, 5-9, 177 4.5 RB from NJ - PSU didn't offer him, but loved him at a summer camp. From Phil Grosz of Rivals:

Graham was at Penn State's third and final session of their summer camp last week. I'm not sure if he was there for the entire session, but I do know that there is an excellent possibility he'll receive a written scholarship offer once his SAT score is in this summer.

Take a guess how those SAT's turned out.

Jack Lippert, DE from Harrisburg, PA. 3 other offers Buffalo, Temple, BC. Lippert grew up a PSU fan and wanted to go to PSU. PSU didn't offer.

Todd Thomas, WR Beaver Falls, PA. However below was a statement reported in the Pitt Post/Gazette prior to Thomas accepting what appeared to be his only remaining offer at the end, from Pitt. Top schools all backed off.

Beaver Falls running back-receiver Todd Thomas had a number of Division I offers, but some schools are looking at him a little differently now, after seeing his low SAT scores.

Penn State does not, and will not, accept a great player if his grades are bad. This is why they pulled the Bryce McNeal offer, why they cooled on Tahj Boyd, why so many schools cooled on 5-star RB Tavon Austin, and why they pulled LeSean's McCoy's offer.

Dan Mason, who is gonna end up at Pitt, has been lobbying for a PSU offer, which he is not going to get. Not b.c he isn't good, but b/c they simply have too many dang LB's.

Jordan Hill begged for a Pitt offer, got it, PSU decided they wanted him, and got him.

So much for Pitt winning all these PA battles. Maybe Pitt's offense is negating their 9 national titles.

How indeed IS the recruiting going, especially in the State of Pennsylvania. PSU right now has 7 recruits from Pa. If you include Hill as a 2 star, 6 of those 7 are 2 star kids. Only Shrive from Scranton is NOT a 2 star. ALL PSU recruits from Pa are from the East. Pitt has 8 recruits from Pa. Only 2 are 2 star kids, 6 are 3 stars or more. Are the Pa kids PSU is getting worth the effort?? You'd think, with the season they had, they would have done MUCH better in their own home state. Amazing, isn't it, what you can do with statistics.

Of the the kids committed to Penn State, ten of them have an offer from Pitt, and chose PSU.

Of the kids committed to PITT that have a PSU offer, only ONE has chosen Pitt.

TAE is a great bleacher coach.. but personally if PSU lightens up on the grades, Joe PA would be the happiest coach in the world

This just proves that some kids like to attend college in a nice part of Pennsylvania. Not a ghetto.

Maybe they like that Peachy Paterno ice cream.
