What a concept!! The NFL actually allows the best teams to play on the field and decide who advances towards the championship. It is a good thing that the Vince Lombardi trophy is decided on the field or such great performances by the Ravens, Cards and Eagles would not have been allowed to happen since the computers or polls would not let underdogs or wild card teams the chance to prove who is best on the field. According to Lombardi's own words "What the H*** is going on here?" He could have been talking about the BCS and the system that didn't allow Texas, Utah, or USC prove who was the best. Heck it didn't even get the two best teams in the Championship Bowl Game!!

The thing about having a playoff for college teams is that while it may be the best idea, and even favored by everyone, you forget the amount of money that goes into sponsoring, etc. for all the bowl games. These people take great care of the teams, and I believe the school or university even gets money for participating in bowl game events. To do away with the BCS is probably the last thing they want to do.
