Here is my Top 10 at this point in the season:
1. Wake Forest - They are playing the best basketball of any team right now. They still have a lot of tough games coming up and will probably lose 2-3 games by the end of the season.
2. North Carolina - They have the most talented team in College Basketball this year. If they can get their defensive problems fixed, they have a very good shot of winning it all.
3. Duke - They have a great defensive team. Singler is one of the best players I have seen this season. They will get a chance to prove they are the best team in College Basketball by beating the likes of Wake Forest and UNC.
4. UCONN - UCONN is definitely a contender for the National Championship this season. Thabeet is a great player and they have everything around him to win it all this year.
5. Pitt - DeJuan Blair is having an outstanding season. When he stays out of foul trouble, Pitt is one of the best teams I have seen.
6. Oklahoma - Griffin can dominate games for Oklahoma. He is the best player I have seen this season. I just don't think they have the whole package to win it all.
7. Michigan State - Tom Izzo has another very good team this year. They should win the Big 10 without a lot of problems.
8. UCLA - They are a very young team that hasn't shown the consistency of a Final Four team.
9. Louisville - Louisville may surprise some teams come tournament time. They are a very balanced team. If the right Louisville team shows up for the NCAA tournament, look out.
10. Georgetown - Georgetown has lost 3 of their last 5 games. They were all to very good teams, but they will have to get it turned around if they want to get a 3 seed in the NCAA Tournament.

Legitimate Championship Contenders: UNC, Wake Forest, UCONN, Duke, and Pitt
I think you will see one of these five win it all at the end of the year. The ACC and Big East are way above all the conferences this year. I can't wait to see the Big East and ACC Tournaments.

My new College Basketball Top 10 looks like this:
1. UNC - They looked great in their win over Clemson. I still think this is the team that wins it all. I can't wait for them play Duke.
2. Duke - A win over Maryland by 41 was very impressive. They have the defense to win it all and now are showing that the offense is there, too. Duke and UNC will battle it out for the ACC Championship.
3. UCONN - UCONN and Pitt look to be the beasts of the Big East. Can they come up with enough offense to get it done at the end of the year? We will see. UCONN beat a pretty good Irish team at home today.
4. Pitt - They have a great defensive team and crushed Syracuse this week. They still have a tough schedule coming up and that's where they will have to show themselves to make a true believer.
5. Oklahoma - Oklahoma destroyed #23 ranked Baylor today. They are looking better than ever. They have dominated the two best teams in the Big 12. There's no reason why they shouldn't win the Big 12.
6. Wake Forest - The loss to Virginia Tech has to sting a little bit. They are still very talented, but with only one quality non-conference win, they are going to have to get a few more quality wins to get a #1 seed.
7. Louisville - They are coming along nicely. They have the best offense in the Big East that I have seen. Louisville already has a win over Pitt. I will need to see a few more impressive victories to claim that they are National Championship contenders.
8. Xavier - Xavier got a nice win at LSU to improve to 16-2. They have wins over Virginia Tech, Cincy, and Auburn. They may not lose more than one game in their conference.
9. Marquette - They are 6-0 in the Big East and 13-0 at home. Marquette is starting to look very impressive. They haven't reached the toughest part of their schedule, but I wouldn't be shocked to see this team beat one of the top 3 teams in the Big East.
10. Texas - They beat a decent Texas A&M team tonight at home. They are still lacking an identity on offense and got dominated by Oklahoma not too long ago. They will have to win at Baylor next week to stay in the top 10.

A few good games to look forward to this week:
Sunday: Louisville @ Syracuse...Louisville's experience will show up in this game. I like Louisville in this one, even though it is at Syracuse. Louisville by 4.
Pitt @ WVU...This one truly is a toss up being at WVU. I think WVU wins a close one.
Monday: Marquette @ Notre Dame...Notre Dame needs this game to prove they are worthy of being in the Top 25. Harangody will have his way with Marquette. Notre Dame by 7.
Tuesday: Texas @ Baylor...Baylor is a fast paced team and Texas is more of a defensive team. It should be a good one. I'll take Texas by 3.
Wednesday: Duke @ Wake Forest...Duke will show why they deserve the #1 ranking in the nation by beating Wake on the road. Look for Singler to have a good game. Duke's defense will keep Teague in check.
Pitt @ Villanova...I like Pitt to rebound after losing Sunday to WVU with a nice win @ 'Nova. I don't think Villanova has anyone inside to compete with Blair. Pitt by 8.

1. UCONN - The whooping they put on Louisville tonight showed me that they have a good shot of beating UNC. This is the only team that is in the same league as UNC as far as talent goes.
2. UNC - They were fortunate to pull out the win last week against Florida State. I'm starting to get the feeling that the loss of Ginyard hurt this team more than I once believed.
3. Oklahoma - OU has flew under the radar for most of the season. They have been in the Top 10 all season, but still haven't got their shot at #1.
4. Wake Forest - They had a let down over they beat Duke, but I still think this is a team that most people won't want to see come Tournament time.
5. Duke - The loss to Wake Forest was not exactly surprising. Duke showed a lot of heart to come back in that game, but then lost on a layup.
6. Pitt - Pitt is a team that can't function when Blair is in foul trouble. That and free throw shooting are the only glaring weaknesses they have.
7. Marquette - They just keep winning. They aren't a team I have gotten to see play this year, but they seem to be playing lights out.
8. Xavier - They seem to always have a great record. Part of that is because of their weak conference. I think they'll be a #3 seed in the tournament.
9. Clemson - The loss to UNC was embarrassing, but they have bounced back well.
10. Villanova - This was a reach, but there's no team I thought was actually worth of the #9 and #10 positions right now. I'll put 'Nova there because of the win over Pitt.
