What's the hold up?

It's 7:32 PM on Sunday, February 15, 2009 and we still don't know when we play our first playoff game. All we know is who we play and that it is either on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday the 19th, 20th, or 21st.
It would be nice to know when we play so that we could set our practice schedule for the upcoming week. It would be nice to know how many days we have to prepare. Is it 3 days, is it 4 days. or is it 5 days?
Anyone that has the entire schedule this week, please let me know. The District 6 website has nothing.

Exact dates and sites should be announced at least 4 days ahead of schedule, barring some unforeseen circumstance, like weather. I would expect that you would know first thing tomorrow morning.
There is no reason not to have a site for the Jtown-Tyrone game...Yet, I see a site that the "play in" game between Indian Valley and Somerset will be played Tuesday 2/17/09 at the AAHS Fieldhouse at 7:30PM.
Maybe D6 is waiting for the outcome of the play-in game to determine sites for Friday or Saturday...
I am guessing it will be Hollidaysburg Junior High, or the AAHS Fieldhouse on Friday or Saturday night. I highly doubt that the game will be played Thursday.
Does District 6 use Mount Aloysius anymore? That would be the most neutral site.
FWIW, all of the 6-AAA teams have a 2 in 5 chance of moving on to PIAAs...2 bids for a 5 team tourney is pretty good odds...Don't worry, we'll just continue playing follow-the-winner here in WPIAL land (rolls eyes)...

Here's an idea. Why doesn't District 6 take a page from Distrcit 5. Play all games through the semi-finals on the higher seeds home floor. That would eliminate all the mystery of when and where teams play. Instead, teams like Ferndale girls are sitting here on Tuesday morning with no idea of when they play.

Someone from D6 should also take a page from District 5 as far as the brackets go. There are many different programs that turn making PDF files into a very simple task. Whoever does the D6 website should download one and make an actual bracket for each class instead of the jumbled mess they have.....they also need to reorganize their website to make it more user-friendly
