Maybe an upgrade?

As you may know...Matt Cavanaugh is no the Offensice Coordinator at Pitt(thank God)
The Panthers hired 43 year old IUP graduate Frank Cignetti Jr. as their new Offensive coordinator.
His most recent stops as a coach include...OC at CAL the QB coach for the 49ers and the QB/OC for UNC.
Cavanaugh had no creativity or had no ability to make adjusments as a coach....He was never known for being a genius and may have been the OC for the worst Super Bowl winning offense.....recruiting wise Cignetti may have ties around the country for being in Carolina and California....Hopefully that will open up some new pipelines...and for his sideline skills....Cal ran a basic offense with over 2000 passing yards and a 1000 yard rusher.....He will have a lot of weapons to chose from next season But i'd like to see a little bit more of a complex passing attack not just go routes to Baldwin. And the running game to adjust to not having the best RB in the country will be tough but Chris Burns and Shariff Harris and about the 7 RB's we brought in ....somebody should emerge as a playmaker....
Speaking of Chris Burns....younger brother Derrick Burns has pledged to Pitt making him the first commit of 1010.
Not too sure what position he will play...But he was a tough runner and from what i saw in the State Championship game he can play defense too.....good pickup.
